A great place to hang out and have fun, you can wait here for the distribution center to open, or just relax and cool off on a hot day. Careful, swimming in the fountain could get you nabbed by the bulls! Prince spends a lot of her free time around here, if you're looking for her, check the fountain.

And once again...
Here she was sitting on the ledge of the fountain. Prince had been in a lotta fights recently! What was with all the tension? She washed the dirt off of her face and arms. She could see her reflection sort of in the pool. She found it slightly depressing... she'd grown up... to be a man. She wondered what her mother would say if she could see her now. She'd probably be disgraced. Prince sighed and turned away from her reflection and the water.
This was the life she had chosen anyway... on the run constantly, hiding from the bulls, taking swings at those who hurt younger ones. It was the life she wanted, and she was proud of herself, no matter what her father would say to her now. And she would just bet, her mother would be proud of her too.
That thought made her smile. She kicked back her feet and lay on the edge of the fountain as she continued to think about her family.

Gwennie walked over to the fountain and sat down. Looking around, she saw what looke like an older boy lying on the edge of the fountain. Interested, she walked over to the boy and stood over him. "Hi" Greeted Gwennie, a cheerful smile on her face, "Whatcha doin'?"

Prince looked up at the girl. Who was this now? She sat up straight. Of course she appeanred to be a boy. It was a disguise that she'd been keeping up for several years now, and had perfected the art of beeing a teenage boy, even though she was a girl.
Though Prince was shocked at this girl's random greeting just walking over and saying hello. "Ummm," she said in a deep voice to make her sound as though she were a boy too, another practically flawless piece to her hiding mechinism, "thinkin'," she stated. "Do I know you?" Kid sure didn't look familiar.

Prince blinked again. Why did this girl have so much energy? Probably her age. "None of ya business... do ya need somethin' or do you just walk up to people and say hello for fun?" she asked. She was really rather baffled at this girl and her actions. Of course if she was as young as she looked that might account for why she was behaving this way.

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Prince said holding up her hands as she stood up towering above the kid. She realized she was a bit tall so fixed it and got back down to the kids' level. "Take a breath kiddo. Yeah I'm a newsie, m'name's Prince," she said offering the girl her hand. "I'm the Queens leadah," she said offering further explanation.
"I sold all my papes already that's why I ain't got none, ya right there," she said. "Now who are you kid, and where ya from?"

Prince chuckled and maintain her deep voice as she spoke to the young girl. "Yeah, I am, and thanks," she said with a soft smile. "What 's a Brooklyn girl like you doin' all the way in Queens huh? Shouldn't be be makin' ya way home?" Prince looked over the girl and glanced around to see if there was another Brooklyn kid around who wouldn't want Prince talking to Gwennie.

"Well well," she said as she stood up straight. "Far be it from me to tell ya what ta do," she said with a smirk. Gwennie could obviously take care of herself, and Prince wasn't going to interfere. "So, ya just decided ta wonder 'round Queens for a day?" she asked chuckling slightly. "Sounds like a good time ta me," she said.

"Yeah it is" replied gwennie "it's really fun, Marvin an' I saw all kinds a stuff walkin' around heah. You must walk around heah all da time, huh? seein' as it's yoah borough an' all" she continued, genuinely interested "Hey!" she burst out, if she had had a revelation "do you talk ta Spot very much? Prince laughed at the sudden outburst of a comment. "Honestly I dun remembah the last time I talked ta any leader," this seemed to make her just a little sad. She hid it well. But it made her unhappy because... Jack was a leader, and apparently her boyfriend, and if she didn't remember the last time she spoke to her own boyfriend... there was something wrong with that. She shook off the sadness quickly and smiled again. "Spot's a good guy, though he and me dun talk much we got our own problems ta handle ya know?" The price raise came to mind, she still wasn't sure how the newsies were going to handle it.

"Well, why don' ya handle 'em togethah?" asked Gwennie " It's always easier for me ta solve problems when Marvin helps me...y'know what dey say two heads are bettah den one" she continued, in cheerful voice "den ya can all fix ya problems an' den ya can all do fun stuff instead a' solvin' a bunch a' problems all da time."
