"It just so happens that I do," Daisy said with an easy smile, now more relaxed with him than she had been all afternoon. Stepping outside she shivered slightly, pulling her coat more tightly around her with her free hand. "There isn't much I don't know how to make. And if I don't? I'll learn."

"Yer gonna be puttin' some more meat on my bones then." Noticing her shiver he saw it as an easy excuse to embrace her again. He wrapped his big arms around her once more, giving a gentle but strong squeeze. "Go fast, don't want ya freezin'" He grinned and after a suspended moment finally released her.

"Aye, that frostbite can do a number," She teased, smiling up at him, wishing she didn't have to go. "I'll see you on Monday then." She paused, before throwing her arms around his neck and brushing another kiss against his cheek, "Be safe, Pie." Then feeling her cheeks burning, she released him and hurried off down the street, pausing to turn and wave goodbye.

((New Day))
Piper walked into Tibby's and sat down at the booth all by herself. She got enough cash to get something good and decent to eart, other than the food she had to scrape from the trash. She looked at the menu and went with soup and ice cold milk to cool her down.

Morris walked into Tibby's surveying the place for friends, enemies, or anything interesting. He noticed a lone newsie he recognized from the distribution center and let out a low snicker. He walked over causally, reaching the booth at the same time Piper's milk and soup did. He snatched the glass of milk and downed it in a few gulps. Dropping the glass on the table and wiping the mustache (the milk one anyways) from his upper lip he smirked at her. "Why thank you, street rat" He laughed at walk to a table of his own on the opposite side of the restaurant.

Piper wanted to punch him, but she couldn't in front of a crowd. So she sat in her seat cooly and just sipped her soup. When she was done, she whipped her mouth with her napkin and sat back in her hair nicely.

Morris ordered a big meal, he had the money from his uncle, not to mention if felt great to show off in front of one of those lousy newsies. When his food arrived he tied a napkin around his neck and send Piper an arrogant wave. His soup and coffee was a bit to hot to start eating right away so he settled for the turkey sandwich and the hot dog.

Sally walked into resturant and smiled wben she saw her brother. She shoved her way into the newsie, making sure that she almost knocked the girl off her chair. "Now did you order something for me, Morris? Or am I going to have to put something on that street rats tab?" She grinned and sat down opposite him.

Morris laughed aloud as Sally crashed into Piper. He and Oscar had definitely gotten her to grow up the right way. He took at bite of his sandwich and pushed a bowl of coleslaw toward her. "Ya can have that, Sal" he talked with a full mouth, "but it ain't much so ya might want to charge her for a dog" He looked back at Piper, glaring now, "and she better pay up.."

Sally grinned and took a few bites of the slaw and ordered a bowl of soup, putting it on the girl's tab. "Mmm...oh she will." She nudged Morris under the table, grinning at the girl. "...one way or another.." She and her brothers were a united front. She loved and respected them--in that Delancy way.

Piper just got up from her apot and went over to the head cashier and gave her her own money for her own lunch. She eyed the two and then instantly walked out of the resturant, pushed her hair out of her way and turning the corner. She knew she didn't pay for them, but it was worth giving them a slap in the face.

Morris' eyes followed Piper as she paid and left. He glared for a moment then looked back at his sister with a smirk. "Doesn't look like she's gonna give you that meal after all, Sally." He took a bite of his hot dog before continuing. "At least I got a glass a milk"

Sally grumbled. "Well...I'll soak her arse later. As I said..." A smirk started spreading across her face. "...she will pay one way or another." She reached over and stole a few fries from her brother. "Yous haven't been home that much lately, Morris..."

Morris reached across the table to give Sally a shove. She may be family but it didn't save her from any of his violent tendencies. "Order your own!" He snapped pulling his plates in closer. He concentrated on eating before responding with a shrug. "So? I got things to do, like work. You keepin' tabs on me or somethin'?" He finished his hot dog.

"Christ, Morris!" She threw one of the fries she had stolen at him. "Sorry I'm tryin' tah keep you from gettin' fat." She grumbled and ate her sandwich. "None of your damn business what I'm doin'." She wasn't in the best of moods now. She never was after getting yelled at by her brother.
