Mush nodded. "But of course!" he said. He lead her towards the Ferris Wheel and paid their way on. They got on the car and the man let other people on as they slowly started to go up. "Enjoying yourself?" he asked making casual conversation while they waited for others to get on.

She laughed and nodded, "Oui, mon chere. I'm having a great time." She brushed her hair back from her face and chuckled a bit. "I think being here with you has a lot to do with it. Things don't seem so bad when I'm out having fun with you.."

He smiled to her charmingly. "Well I'm glad! I mean, I wouldn't want to make you unhappy. So, the reassurance that I'm infact doing the exact opposite is very nice," he said with a broad smile to her. He put his arm around her. Everyone got on the ferris wheel as it started spinning around with the two of them on it. Up over the top and down back towards the ground. "When I was younger I used to look down and watch the ground rise up to me... and at the last second... the direction changes, and you go up again," he said smiling to her.

She giggled a bit and closed her eyes a moment before she looked at him, "This is amazing, you can see most of the city. Just like I thought. Bet I can see the lodging house if I look for it.." She stretched a bit in the seat as she turned her head to look. "Well, almost.." she smiled at him. "I like it, it's a feeling I've never had before.." It was like, flying almost, watching the ground rise up and then fall away.

Mush smiled to her. "They'll stop us at the top, when they start to let the people off. Maybe we can get a whole veiw of the city from here. Bet if we look we can see the statue of liberty," he said with a wink. "See all the way to Manhattan from here if we try," he said proudly. He looked back to her, enjoying her smile the most of all these things. She was just so... beautiful and sweet. He felt lucky to be there with her.

She looked at him, her nose and ears were pink from the cold. "You think? Oh, wow." She settled back against his side and tried to use him to keep warm, and she liked being close. She couldn't admit it outloud though. She blushed a bit, before she beamed. "Oh, look.." She pointed to the horizon. "You can see the boat coming into the harbor.."

Mush looked and saw the boat she was talking about. "Hmmm... wonder where it came from," he said with a smile. "And I wonder where the people are goin'," he said with a smirk. He had to admit, no matter what, he liked it here, and he liked being with her.

She looked up at him. "Where does you family come from?" she was curious, her's came from France, but they'd been in the south since before the Lousianna Purchase. Her family had been living in the south since, well, since before the war between the states.

"England mostly. I... I mean... well I think my great grandmother might have been French, but as far as I know... I'm English. I don't really know much about my family, or where they came from." It was something he wished he knew.

She tilted her head a bit, "What do you know?" She asked, wanting to know more about him. Lanna always wanted to know more, needed to know more about the people she cared about. And she really, really cared about him.

"Ummm... I'm a guy. I've lived in New York all my life. Parents died in a fire and left no specifications where I was to go, so I became a newsie instead of going to an orphanage. That's... it," he said shruging. He seemed unphazed by it.

She blinked a few times, "Oh Mush, that's sad.." She felt bad for him really, of course her life back home wasn't always cookies and cream but it was a good one most of the time. "Wow, I don't know what it would like to be alone like that..."

He shrugged. "I gotta sister, though I don't talk or see her around much, but she's a nice girl. So I wasn't completely alone. B'sides, Jack took care of me, and Blink, Race, and I became real quick friends," he said chuckling and grinning to her.

She beamed at him, "Youre very lucky then. I'm glad you weren't alone. That would be terrible.." Someone who grew up in a family she size of hers, well, she was used to there always being someone. That is until she came to New York. Then she was lucky enough to meet Moira right off. "I'm glad you're here too. Really.."

He smiled. "I'm glad you're here as well. You're a great girl," and he meant it. He'd never really met anyone like her before, she was so different in a good way. And he liked it a lot.
