Jennifer paused only a second before she entered the stall, keeping an eye on the mare, but also doing her job. "You're just so pretty." She smiled over at the horse, putting the hay in the holder. "Bet you don't like to be cooped up here, huh?

((Yeah, I'm sorry, I've been having trouble getting on and getting a muse because I've been sick, and school's been tough))
Buck looked at her and the mare. The horse seemed calm, and her ears weren't back in anger, but more curiosity. He walked towards the stall, being sure not to make any sudden movements. The mare was still ok, so Buck felt he could go in. He walked behind Jennifer, and grabbed her hand. He started to bring her hand towards the horse, so she could stroke the mare's neck.

(no problem. *big hug*)
Jennifer almost pulled back from his grip, but halted her movements halfway and let him guide her hand. Her finger tips brushed the mare's neck and a smile slid across her face, hand going flat as she stroked the mare's silk neck. This had been the closest she had ever been to a horse, and the first time she had ever touched one.
"She's beautiful." She murmurred.

Buck smiled and nodded, "Very." He let go of her hand, and gave the horse a nice pat before walking out of the stall. He quickly got back to work, ony a few more stalls left. The mare was having a good day, and he could tell the mare didn't mind Jennifer.

Jennifer grinned as she finished up the mare's stall, patting her down one more time before laying a kiss to her neck. "See you beautiful. I have to go help." She grinned, moving to help Buck with the rest of the stalls. She had promised she'd help after all.
She pulled her sleeves up, leaving them at her elbows as she finished up the stalls with him, blowing a strand of her hair from her face absently. It just wouldn't stay in the ponytail today, it would seem.

Buck finish and put the wheelbarrow off to the side. He was happy that it was another person's job to clean it out. Walking back down the stalls, he came up to a large dark bay stallion. "How are you?" He asked, patting the horse's nose. "This is Forever Never" He told Jennifer. "You'll get to ride this big 'ole guy." He grabbed the halter on the horse's stall, and went in. Forever walked forwards, ready to go out. Buck put the halter on and lead him to the center of the aisle, where Buck put two leads attatched to the walls on the halter; keeping the large horse in place. He quickly grabbed the tack, and placed the blanket and saddle on (He was already groomed). Once the saddle and bridal were on he smiled and looked at Jennifer, "Well, wanna get on now?" He asked.

Jennifer gave him a small, hesitant grin, "He's so big." She looked sheepishly at Buck, but there was determination in her eyes. Since when had she let anything stop her? She knew, although she had never done it herself, how to get on a horse.
Placing her foot in the stirrup she pulled herself on, amazed at how high it was. "Wow." Thoughts of falling off came back really quick.

Buck nodded when she mentioned his height, "Ah, but he's a good boy." He patted Never. When she mounted, he held Never steady. She looked beautiful on the horse, different though... she looked more in place in the saddle than she did in the streets. "Well, let's go, just keep your heels down, and looking straight and you wont fall off."
((Ok, I'll post in the training circle))

(New Day)
Shiloh was a rider, she was a good one. And to be honest the only place in all of the big apple that reminded her of home were these stables. She reached out and stroked the horses nose. "There, ya are darlin. You're a good strong boy aintcha.." she smiled a bit when he nuzzled at her shoulder. "That's right, I'm a nice girl, a bit rought around the edges but need to be to survive, huh.." She always did so much better with horses then she did with people.

Blake smirked a bit. "Wondered if Ide ever see you again."he said. He grabbed a pack of matches out of his pocket and he grabbed his pocket knife out. He lit a match and held his blade over it till it got down to his fingers and then flipped his knife back into his pocket and licked his fingers snuffing the tip of the match. He put it in his pocket for now till he found a trash and then grabbed and apple out of his pocket rubbed it on his shirt, he wore a pretty nice shirt considering he was a 'newsie'. He took his knife out again and cut off a peice and held it out to a horse who ate it, he cut another peice and ate it before cutting another and holdin git out to her> "want some?"

Shiloh stayed on the other side of the horse and rubbed his flank. "Huh, no thanks darlin. I don't take food from strangers..." There was something about him that had her guard up, but also something that got her wanting to hit all his buttons a few times just to get his goat. See if she could make him mad or something. She wanted to get past this.. fiscad that he seemed to have. And for the life of her she didnt' know why. "Heh.. you're stranger then most, darlin. That is for damn sure.."

"Im a stranger?"he asked, "But.."He shrugged, "Didnt we introduce ourselves last time? I could have sworn we did"He smirked and shrugged eating some more and then feeding a few more pieces to the horse. "You know, yer stranger then most yerself.."He nodded leaning againt one of the stalls and reaching up to let the horse in the stall sniff his hand before rubbing his muzzle.

Shiloh tilted her head and smirked a bit, "You ain't never seen the likes of me before.. they don't breed my kind in this town.. " she rubbed the horses neck a bit and started to murmur to him in a soft tone. Taking into account that she was going to try to ignore her visitor. "Ah, you're a good boy.. strong too. I saw ya crash out in the race today. You'll be fine though, a new shoein' and some confidence, you'll be right as rain I'm sure of it.."

He ran hi shand up under his jaw and up to his neck and leaned towards teh horse, "So.. if you were in my shoes, what would you do?"he asked and then riased his brow. "What.. wait.. no.."He shook his head. "you dog you...you must be quite the stud amongst the mares."He winked at the horse. "Well good for you..."he glanced at shiloh and then leaned in closer to the horses ear and whispered something to him and motioned towards shiloh.

Shiloh rolled her eyes and started muttering something in a language Blake probably wouldn't have understood as she moved to get the horse some oats. She wasn't even really supposed to be there, but she'd managed.
