Rose wandered in to Tibby's finding an empty seat at a table near by. She took a seat, then turned her focus to the window. Many moments passed as she sat gazing out.

Jack slipped into Tibby's looking around for any of his kids. He wanted to make sure they were all okay. Seeing one girl that looked familiar he walked over. "Hey...Rose, right?" He smiled. "Mind if I sit?"

Rose blinked coming back from her daydreaming and directed her attention to Jack standing at the table.
"Oh, uh," she nodded, while motioning to an empty seat at the table, "Rose, ya. How are ya?"

Jack smiled goodnaturely and sat. "...I'm doin' as well as I can for a leader, if ya understand." He shrugged. "Haven't seen ya around much..lying low?"

Crutchy had just come in, searching for a bit of a place to settle down in before moving onto the next block. He recognized Jack of course but the other girl seemed new to him. He smiled at her and waved, hobbling over. He was still getting use in both of his legs back, his bad leg even worse..

Rose began to open her mouth to respond, but got distracted by a person wandering over. She softly sighed, but acknowledged him of course, although she didn't recognize him.
She smirked and made a soft remark, "Ain't that just my luck."

Jack laughed a bit at Rose's comment. "Oi...sometimes I feel the same way." Waving he nodded. "How ya doin' Crutchy?"

Rose blushed, not having expected him to pick up on her comment, "Oh, er, ya..."
"I've been around," she commented, trying to change the topic, "Ya know, here and there. What have ya been up ta lately?"

Crutchy nearly fell into a chair a bit dramatically then grinned at Jack and the other girl. "Life has its ups and downs, Jack. My leg seems to think we're down."He shrugged, nodding to it as it started aching again. He hid a cringe and looked back with a bit of a sparkle in his eyes. "But enough about me..who's your friend here? Was I interrupting some important kinda business?"

Jack shrugged. "Dis is Rose, Crutch.." He looked over to her. "I've just been dealing with the Raconteurs. Glad you are unscathed." He gave her a smile.
Returning to Crutchy, he looked him over. "...what exactly is wrong with your leg, Crutch?" He had never asked before.

Rose smiled, "I'm a tough goil," she said with a bit of sarcasm in her voice.
"Nice ta meetcha," she said acknowledging the man who's name seemed to be Crutch.

Crutchy grinned and nodded at Rose, shaking her hand. "Oh those thieving fellas givin' ya trouble, Jack?I would think after Pulitzer you'd have no trouble with them."He shrugged, looking back and forth between the two. He almost felt like a third wheel. Well, almost. He looked at Jack again, not used to having him ask about his leg. Usually it jsut went unnoticed.
"Eh..it's nothing. Just botherin' me is all."

Rose regarded the Tibby's menu, trying not to interrupt "Crutch" and Jack's conversation. A waitress wandered over to the table to take her order.
"Hi, could I please have..." she looked down at the menu once again, "a hamburger, and... a root beer?" She looked up at the waitress with a smile on her face. Before putting the menu away she briefly checked over the prices, "Er, on second thought, could I just get a water?"
She gave the boys a sheepish grin, kind of embarrassed at her current financial situation, "Business has been slow lately, bit short on money."

Jack shrugged at Crutchy. "Really should get that leg checked out Crutchy..don't want it hobblin' ya up for life." He glanced over at the waitress. "No...she will have a rootbeer."
He smiled. "And you crutchy..get what ya want. Meal's on me." He smirked. "I'll have a burger and root beer as well."
