Mini slid into a chair at the counter, she didn't personally like ice cream, but she needed a place to relax. Sighing she ordered some ice cream and sat back waiting for the waiter to set it in front of her.

Coop sat in the chair set next to Mini, not really taking much notice into her sitting there. He opened the newspaper he had in his hands, looking at the pictures more than actually reading the words. He had a hard decision to make. He could, once again, leave New York and this time just not return, but the thought of that was quickly brushed out of his mind.
The other option was to stay, stay out of everyone else's way. Turn over a new leaf and just try to make an honest living. He ran his fingers through his hair frustratedly. Neither seemed too logical to him. The only other option was for him to get rid of Smokes all together. Not only Smokes, but Brooklyn. Not the borough itself, but everyone ever involved in anything he thought would connect them back to knowing who he was...but how.
The Raconteurs. If anyone could help him at this point it was them. He could go to Nicholas and explain everything, but would he be up for it. Coop would have to gain his trust first. He sat the paper down and smirked. He wasn't going to run away--not this time. He was going to end it all.

As the boy had sat down next to her she had glanced at him and then decided to ignore him. Then a waiter came and tried talking to him, but he didn't seem to realize that anyone was talking to him. As her ice cream was set in front of her she watch this boy, somethin wasn't right. Mini didn't like his smirk. She raised an eyebrow, "What ya smirkin' about?"

Coop snapped out of his dream world and turned to the girl next to him. "Things are good." He said simply.

Mini's brow came together. "Things are good? What kinda answer is dat? Wit dat smirk I'd expect ya ta be plannin' some kinda murder or somethin'. Ya ain't gonna murder no one are ya?" She smirked, eyes dancing with laughter, because she had said the last part loud. She thought it was funny.

Coop glared at the girl evenly. He noticed a few people's heads going up when she asked him if he was going to murder someone. A small smirk spread across his face.
"Nah. Are you?"
He had noticed the look on her face before. She hadn't looked mad, just a little...out.

Mini graced him with a small smile, she contained her amusement except in her eyes, "Do I look like da type ta be goin' aroun' murderin' people?" He was trying to turn her question on her and she wasn't about to allow that.

Coop shrugged. "Nevah know." He paused. "You can't judge someone by how they look. Example, do I look like someone who could kill anybody?" His face scumged up after his own question. He all ready knew the answer to that one.

Mini smirked and opened her mouth to say something, but she thought better of it, which was a miracle, because she rarely thought about what she said. "True, but how do ya know ya don't look like a killeh? I mean I could neveh look like a killeh, I know dis."

Mini smiled, "It da look in dere eyes, o' course. Haven't ya noticed dat people ya usually don't trust have dis strange almost demented look. Don't eveh wanna mess wit dem now do ya, unless o' course ya can handle dem." During this speech her eyes had widened with emphasis, but by the end she was holding back laughter.

Coop's smile grew with every sentence. It was true, though. Every person he had known to be ruthless had a certain look in their eye. A look he had once carried. He wondered if it ever showed thriugh him still.
"Yeah, well, you definatley aint got that look. Either that or your good at hidin it."

"I know, I'm good at everythin' I do. Betteh learn dat," Mini smiled jokingly. She thought she saw something in his eyes for a minute but then it was gone. She wondered what he was thinking about there a minute ago. Turning back to the half melted ice cream she sighed, "Don't even know why I got dis ice cream." But she had already spent the money and she wasn't going to waste it, she started eating the ice cream.

Coop smirked. He looked at her picking at the melting ice cream that sat in front of her. "What's your story? When I first came in ya looked a little....down, for lack of a better word. Where ya from?"
