She laughed, "You are stark raving mad if you think that boy would buy anyone anything.." She brushed her hair out of her face. "He's my mate, but that boy ain't never gonna do something that selfless for anyone I don't think. He'd see it as.. a weakness of some kind and Spot Conlon can't be seen as weak.." She shook her head with a chuckle. "He makes me laugh.."

Sneaks shook his head. "...I doubt you would laugh at him to his face though..." He shrugged. "Spot's someone to be respected. As I do...otherwise I would have kept his cane." He laughed.

Lucky looked at him then kissed him softly, "I respect him or I wouldn't have gone to Brooklyn.. and I like him or I wouldn't have stayed.." she tilted her head and blew her bangs out of her face. "I try not to be anywhere I don't want to be..." shes sighed and rested her head aginst his shoulder.

((New Day))
Mush was heading through the Bronx, he was going to go and meet Alanna, but at the current time was on his way through the park. He was enjoying the view though, in no real rush to get there, though he did want to see her again, no doubt about it, but he saw no reason to walk right on by the world without so much as a passing glance, so he was taking in the veiw.

"Oh, brr. I hate the weather. Sir, would you buy a paper?" Hawkeye watched as the man ignored her and walked away, "Wrong way, sir!" She scowled, wanting to sell her last few papers and get out of the cold. She had never been a huge fan of winter.
She wrapped her arms around herself, cursing the weather and her current lack of business. She had stopped paying attention to where she was going, and nearly walked into--"Mush, right?"

He stopped suddenly seeing the girl who had appeared in his path. He smiled at her. "Yeah," she said taking a warm hand and offering it to her. "Don't believe we've formally met, give I've seen ya. Ya Hawkeye... right?" he said, not entirely sure, but he'd seen her before.

Hawkeye nodded, shaking his hand, "Lucky guess. What brings you--" she stopped to yell out to a wealthy looking man passing by, "Oy! Mister! Buy a pape?" She glared as he shook his head 'no', "Yeah, well, see how you like it when some catastrophe hits town and you're the last to know about it, buster."
She turned back to Mush, "What brings you to the Bronx?" He didn't seem to be selling still, so he probably had some other reason for being here.

"Came ta see a friend of mine," he said with a smile to her. "And it seems I've made another one the way. You havein' trouble?" he asked, meaning the papers that she still had. Mush hadn't bought many that day, and sold fast. "You... wanna hand?" he offered, simply trying to help, and be nice.

Hawkeye shook her head, "No, no, I got it. Thanks, though. Excuse me, sir?" She scuttled a couple feet away, animatedly telling an elderly man about a possible volcano in the heart of New York City that could erupt any minute. Unfortunately, the man's hearing wasn't spectacular, and he walked away muttering something along the lines of, "Okay, I'll buy the potato basket if you say so..."
She returned to where Mush was standing, a frustrated scowl plastered across her face. She split the stack of papers in half and practically shoved some into his arms, "Don't start with me."

"Wasn't gonna," he said smiling. He looked through the paper. "Just... yell the headline. Usually works like a charm. Or I could pretend to break your leg... that's always fun," he said teasing her. He was looking for a headline that he hadn't used that day already, for people will probably have already heard that one. "Let's see... how about this one here: break in at jewlery store, nothing missing. Says the cops arrived on time," he said.

Hawkeye grinned as a couple people approached Mush, asking for papers.
"I always preferred twisting the headlines," she smirked, raising her eyebrows before yelling, "Jewelry store robbed! Criminal still on the lose and said to be very dangerous! Three hundred dollar reward if caught!" Lowering her voice, she said to Mush, "But last time I tried some headline like that, I was chased into a church," she nodded, "But that, my friend, is a story for another time."

Mush laughed a little. "Well you try your headline, and I'll try mine," he said chuckling as he sold the papers to the couple. "Though I'd like to hear that church story sometime." He laughed a little with a smile to her as he raised a paper high and called out the true headline.

Hawkeye smirked triumphantly as a few people headed toward them, asking for papers. She grinned at Mush, "Well, it's a tad lengthy," she said, obviously referring to the story, "But if I remember correctly, it involved a man, a man's wife who wasn't actually dead, and a lot of running," she smiled politely at a customer who gave her a particularly bewildered look, saying to Mush, "For now, I'll let you fill in the blanks."

He chuckled. "I think I can take it from there," he said as he turned around and yelled extra a few times down the street, saying the headline a couple more times, as people came up to him to buy the paper. "Sounds like a rather interesting situation... and a lotta fun," he said chuckling slightly selling another paper.
