Jack spit in his hand and put it out as well. "Jack "Cowboy" Kelly. Apparently your leader." He shook her hand. At least she hadn't taken it bad. There could only be one of each nickname, or things got messy and hard to remember. So first come, first serve.

Ace smiled at Jack. "Nice ta meet ya. But seriously I'll need help ta get a new nickname." She hoped he would help, cuz she didn't have a clue.

Jack smirked and sat down next to her, spreading his hands out a bit, giving her a sideways glance.
"Well whatcha do good? What you like? Gimme somethin' ta start with or you'll get something like Bumblets or Skittery or Pie Eater. All of my boys, and all have no idea where their names came from."

Jack sat there for a moment, going over some names in his head. "Well we got's a Sweets...Flirt is obvious...Smartie...Kiss-Off..." He laughed a bit. "I'm a guy...not the best ideas come from our gender."

Tumbler watched curiously as Jack spoke to the new girl. He understood what she was trying to do: get a newsie name. He had a few ideas of his own, but knew he shouldn't talk while Jack was. That could annoy him. Instead he continued staring.

Ace nodded. "Scout it is." She smiled amd took the cigarette, but wasn't gonna smoke it right away. "How long ya been leadah?" She leaned on her arm that was resting on a couple of steps above the one she was sitting on.

"Side from Spot I'm probably da most famous.." Not like that mattered. It actually made things harder from time to time...but heavy is the head that wears the crown...

Scout nodded. "I'll bet it's hard." She smiled. "I was born here in 'hattan, then we had ta move ta Tulsa, Oklahoma." She lit her cigarette and took a drag off it. "I always missed it heah."
