A place for the leader to go and do some thinking, or have some time to himself when he doesn't want to be disterbed. Bed, chair, and a dusty window and sill complete the small and simple room. Rather cozy, and perfect for Jack Kelly.

Jack unlocked the door, opening it with a small creak.
"Home sweet home..." He gestured to the room. "Please..make yourself comfortable." He sighed, and his whole body seemed to relax, as if just being in the room lifted a weight off his shoulders.

She had appreciated the taking of back alleys and less common streets they'd taken all the way to the lodging house. She felt a lot safer doing that, and with him around she felt even better.
Prince smiled as she walked into the room after him. "Nice place ya got here," she said a bit sarcastically as she looked around. She felt better herself being out of public eye, and even out of the eyes of most newsies. She felt safe in the small room, which in her mind wasn't a bad thing.

Jack shrugged. "Its not much. But its all I got for my own." He wished he had cleaned a bit, but that couldnt be helped now.
Rummaging for a moment, he found a jar and filled it with water and put the Roses in it. "That way they wont die before you head back." He smiled and stepped close to her, pulling her hat off. "...don't need that anymore." He placed it carefullt on the chair, knowing it was important to her.

Prince looked at him, and it took her concious thought to keep herself from snatching it back and punching him in the face. It would have been a reflex, so she had to keep herself from doing it, besides, he meant no harm. She brought a hand up to her hair, and helped it down around her shoulders, so it wouldn't fall into a mass mess as it usually did.
Still she smiled at Jack. "Thank you again for the flowers, they're very... beautiful," she said still a bit nervous.

Jack shrugged, touching her hair gently. "...so are you." He bent down to kiss her, but stopped, pulling up. He didn't want to seem too forward. She was in his room after all. "...Sorry. I dont want to make you feel nervous." He pulled the cowboy hat off from around his neck and hung it on a solitary peg near the window.

Prince had barely moved a muscle as he did all that. She sighed lightly as he hung up his hat. "I wasn't sure... but this... uh... your bandana. Did you want this back any time in the near future?" she asked pulling it out of her pocket. He had given it to her, she thought, but before she went and accidentally lost it, or worse, she wanted to make sure he had given it to her. She felt a little silly asking, but she wanted to make sure. That and she was still a bit nervous.

Jack laughed and put his hand over her's, the one with the bandanna, and bent down, kissing her softly. "...no I don't. Its yours, Mary." He smiled. "...I can scrounge up another one...but I want you to have that one."

She smiled at him a little and nodded. "Alright," she said quietly. What was she doing? She was acting like an idiot. As far as life was concerned nothing has changed... except for the fact that... they were... ummm... she didn't know how to explain their relationship, but she knew they had one. She was giving herself a wake up call, and from here on in was going to attempt to act normal... whatever normal was. "So," she said walking over to the chair and picking her hat up and instead tossing it on the floor, "you decorate this room yaself, or did ya hire someone?" she asked with a smile.

Jacl pouted. "It was me...I think its swell." Apparently it wasn't nice enough for Prince. "...and I dont have enough money to hire someone...you know that." He only barely managed to have enough to by those flowers. The war had been hard on his wallet as well.

Prince smiled at him mischeviously. "One... I dun have the money either." Newsies didn't run around rich now a days... most of them anyway. "An' Two: did I say it was bad?" she asked. She stood up and walked over to him again. "Ta be honest, I sorta like it." And she was being honest too. "It's cleanah den my room anyway," she added... also true. After looking around the room her gaze returned to him and she smiled softly.

Jack smiled and pulled Prince to him, hugging her gently. "...oh Mary. always say the right things." He laughed. "Though if your room is messier than this, I would say you've been pretending to be a boy too long."

Prince smiled and put her arms around him as well. "Yeah... Uhhh... four years?" she said though she'd lost track. "That too long for ya likein'?" she said with a wink. She was enjoying herself now.

Jack shook his head and kissed her forehead, ruffling her a little. "Nah...I figure its made ya who you are...and I like that person." He smirked. "..keeps ya from throwing flowers and bunnies all ovah the room too!"

"Uhgh," she groaned. "That's the thing I dun like about goils. Their too... goily. The bunnies, da skirts, da kittens... though kittens are pretty cute," she admited that, "da flowers... though those are beautiful," she said thankfully about the roses. "There are times when I like bein' a boy... an' times dat I like bein' a goil," she said kissing him quickly.
