Mollie nodded with a laugh. "Yeah, I've always liked New York better anyway. Besides, its easier to do my job heah... its bigger and all..." she said, shrugging. "Yeah, dats me story... its de best Ise gonna get too.." she muttered. Her life was really rather boring and that was probably the most exciting thing that had happened to her yet.

"Your life sounds more fascinating than mine I must admit," Robbie said, picking up his sandwhich again. "At least youve been free to roam around, meet new people, see new places. Not like being stuck at home most of your life with the same old people day in and day out."

Mollie couldn't help but laugh. "My life? Fascinating? Nah.. thats jest a cover I put up. That train ride was probably de most fascinating thing about me." she said, sighing softly. "I know how de whole stuck at home life goes, though. I knew dat until I was 12 or so, then I left." she said, shrugging. She was one of the scraggly runaways that people tended to ignore.

Mollie raised her eyebrows at him as she sipped her water. "What do you mean?" she asked, pushing some of her hair back over her shoulder.

"It's just...my father just isnt the most loving of fathers you know? His word is law and well...I've never really been one to follow rules. He wanted me to be a doctor but that's not what Iwanted. So I finally couldnt take it anymore and left."

((Yick- 1899 feels like eating my computer and never, ever working. Sorry these are ridic like, spaced out. Its not my fault, I swear. v.v)) Mollie nodded, listening intently. It was usually the same story; overbearing parents driving their kids crazy. She smiled softly when he said that he wasn't one to follow rules. "You neither, hm?" she asked, setting her glass down again.

Robbie laughed quietly, putting his sandwhich down. "Yep, you could say I was rather bad when my parents finally sent me off to a boarding school. Sneaking out to see plays, even audition for theaters around the area."

Mollie smiled, resting her chin in her hand. "Where were you sent to school? I mean... was it local, or did ya get sent somewhere else?" she asked.

Mollie smiled a bit at that, then sighed. "That dont sound so bad to me though.. I... dont know how to read, so... it uh... well, you get it Im sure." she said, looking down at her plate. He was one of the first people she'd ever actually admitted this to. 'My parents were rich, figured they'd pass their inheritance on to me... didn't put me into school. Said I didn't need it. Well, here I am now... working as a whore and thief on the streets of New York cuz I cant get nothin better." she said, then realized she'd also just told him that she was a whore.
"Uh... and I hope youse dont take that the wrong way. I didn't come to talk to ya cuz I thought you would be a good f**k I just... uh.. well, I dont know. You seemed nice." she said, eyes now plastered to the platter in front of her. Her cheeks were a bright red... how had she let the two most embarassing things about her slip to a kind acquaintence?

Robbie stared at her in disbelief for a few moments, trying to totally comprehend what he was hearing. He shook his head, "No Mollie...dont say such terrible things about yourself."
