"You can count on it."He grinned again. 'Yeah..I'm a tough newsie. Don't let this crutch fool you."He nodded emphatically and nudged Skittery before looking back to Zero and hoped she said something.

"Ooh, can I have front row seats when it happens?" She asked, grinning at Skittery and taking the water. Zero turned to Crutchy. "Well, you're armed. So if you ever get in a fight, just swing that and POW."

"Implying." Zero corrected as she took a sip of the water. "I'm implying... sort of..."

Skittery rolled his eyes at both of them, amused more than anything from the conversation. "Glad ta know you'll be aimin' for my backside..least someone's admirein' it" He laughed and nudged his friend back.

(New Day)
Delaney stood behind the counter surveying the scene at the Pub. It was a pretty slow night, but that's just the way she liked it. It was less work for her.
An already groogy man came up to her and asked her for another drink---more like demanded. She filled up his cup with a heavy liquor and slid it over to him.
Maybe he'd drink himself into a coma, or even better pick a fight with someone. One of the few things she liked about her job was the entertainment she got from the drunken brawls that took place.

Aura stepped into the pub, her red curls pinned back behind a handkerchief, to keep them out of her face. A faint scar was just above her left eyebrow, and her once-purpled eye was now fully healed.
She stared at the girl behind the bar, approaching the dirty thing (the bar countertop, not the girl behind it, of course).

Delaney turned her head to Aura as she came through the door. She ran her hand through her hair, ruffling it a little.
"Rough night?"

Delaney shrugged. "Couple hours." She tilted her head toward the men that were just starting to let up fighting. "But 'least i've been entertained."

Aura eyed the men, wrinkling her nose. "And, to think, I almost missed this place while I was on my... vacation."
She stepped behind the bar and picked up a few glasses, gently wiping them down with a towel. "Seen a newsie that calls himself Flick around?"

Delaney smirked. Her eyes turned up in her head in thought. "Not around here. Haven't talked to any newsies that I know of."
The city was full of 'em. She most likely had spoken to a newsie at least twice, but she either didn't know they were or simply forgot.

She yawned softly. "Anything interesting happen around here lately?"

Delaney nodded, sighing, and leaned over on the counter.
"Nothin' out of the ordinary. How about you? Anything worth mentioning?"
Delaney found Aura to be one of the very few people she actually didn't mind having around. Maybe it was the Irish spunk--she didn't know.
