Murder looked over and smirked. Writing quickly, she wrote down.
Coop's. Needed help and a place to stay. He made me smile.
She grabbed Asher, flipping him over, rubbing his belly. She laughed, happy again.

He looked down at what she had written. "Smile?" He echoed. "He... This is a guy?" Uh-oh, there went Ace's natural parenting skills. "You had a guy heah? He's going ta stay heah?"

Murder smirked and raised an eyebrow, poking Ace in the nose with a finger, nodding.
Honestly, he should trust her more. However....if he knew Coop's past...Ace was a bit overprotective of her.
She did however, put Asher down, straigthening her back. If Ace was simply upset about her bringing a stranger into the lodging house without permission, she would deal with it.

Ace sighed, rubbing his face. "Where's he come from? What's he doing? How long is he going to stay?" He didn't let complete strangers stay at his lodging house. There was too much that good go wrong. For him to agree with just these three questions - none of them related to this Coop's past - was astronomical. And the only reason why....
Was because Murder trusted him. And that was good enough for the Bronx leader.

Murder put her torn Brooks card back together, holding up one finger. She pointed to them both for the second question, and the third well...she shrugged. She didn't know.
She sighed and pointed to Coop's stuff, meaning she would find him another place to stay if she had to.

Biting at his lip, Ace shook his head. "No...no, he doesn't have to go. He can stay heah, its all right." He was putting his burrough out on a limb for this kid. If he stepped even a toe over the line, Ace was going to kill him. If he betrayed or hurt Murder's trust in any way shape or form, he was going to tear him apart so badly there wouldn't be enough left to recognize.

Murder smiled and poked Ace in the chest, both her and Asher tackling him, Murder ruffling his hair as Asher licked his face. She pointed to her heart and back to him, laughing.

He stuck his tongue out at her playfully, roughing up the puppy's fur. "Ya know, im starting to wondah what kind of infulence you're havin on me, dahlin." He teased.

Murder smirked. The best kind
Ace always needed to smile more. It was her job to get him happy. That's what best friends were for.

She was certainly getting the smile now. The one that was hard to get out of him, but brilliant when you did. It lit up his whole face, made his eyes shine. He hadn't had much to smile about lately, and even less for this.

Murder smiled and gave him a kiss on the forehead before making the sign for water, hopping down the stairs as Asher scampered after her.
A few minutes later Murder came back up, her face troubled. In her hand she was holding a note she had found on the door of the loding house. She had read between the lines--and it was nothing good. Reminded her of her father.
Handing the piece of paper to Ace, she frowned, sitting on the floor in front of him, Asher climbing into her lap as she petted the dog for comfort.

Ace sat up a bit, taking the paper from her. Scanning it over a few times, a confused crease appeared between his eyes. Sitting up fully, he read it over slowly, his eyes flashing a little. "What the hell?" He muttered, catching some of the things between the lines. "Where'd you get this?" He asked, looking over at Murder.

Murder made a sign for the door, indicating the lodging house. She made a sign that showed that it smelled foul--not her father, but his kind.

"I dont like this." He said softly, showing a rare case of worry. "This doesn't feel right." Ace was saying out loud what he already knew, but it was habit. He looked down at the bottom, his eyes landing on a name.
Nick Young.

Murder sighed and slid over to Ace' leaning her head on his shoulder, as Asher put his head in the leader's lap. She looked up at Ace, as if to ask Well...what do we do?
