Cheater stepped inside with her usual smile on her face. But as she looked around the room and saw Fancy, the smile dropped completely, replaced with a small frown.
"Hey Fance, you okay?" She asked, stepping carefully, as if she were walking on egg shells.

Fancy sat up at her friends voice. "Cheats!" she squeled and nearly pounced on her friend. "Gosh, i've been looking for you everywhere!" she giggled, hugging the other tightly.

She stood there, surprised at her friend's sudden mood swing. "Er... good to seeya too?"

She squeeled. "Oh Cheats!" she hugged her tighter. "You have NO Idea how much i've MISSED you..." she said, near tears.

She finally regained controll enough to give Fancy a hug, dispite the fact that she was concerned about her internal organs being crushed. "I missed ya too... are you okay?" Cheater gasped.
"You're crushing me..."

She giggled. "Fine..." she said a little more seriously, letting her go. "I've been fine... as good as i can be..." she said, her heart breaking all over again, thinking about Red.

Her eyebrows knitted together and she frowned a bit as she studied her friend's face.
"What happened with you and Red? Or would you rather not talk about it?"

She shrugged and sat down. "I thought you would have heard..." she said, pulling her legs up on the couch, tears in her eyes.

Cheater's reply was a concerned smile as she sat down next to Fancy. "Nah... I don't hear those things 'cause Newsies seem to have a way of improving the truth."

She gave her friend a small, tense smile. "Yah they tend to do that..." she sighed. "He nearly died..." she whispered, her body tensing. A swell of emotion pressing heavily on her heart. She lay her head on the arm of the couch and sobbed into it.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "He WHAT?!" She shreiked, staring at Fancy and finally getting over her shock enough to give her friend a big hug.
"Aw Fance... I'm really sorry... is he okay now?"

She smiled as she lay her head lightly on Cheaters shoulder. "Yah, he's alright..." she whispered, wincing slightly. "I'm just scared... i'll be keeping a tighter reign on that boy from now on..." she told her friend. "And Cheater? ... Thanks"
