Lukas snorted at Emerald, his pride slightly dented from the rejection of his spit covered hand. "fine.." he huffed and proceeded to wipe the saliva of on Cheater's sleave. "an' yooou can jus' shut up!"
He turned back to the new girl, "Chicago? Little ways from home arnt we?"

The whole spit shake must've been a New York thing. In Chicago the only time anyone spit shook was after a betrayal or fued, where if the other didn't agree they would spit at the others feet. Things were really different here.

Cheater lightly slapped Lukas' arm. "Don't wipe your germs on me." She stated, sticking her tongue out at the older boy.

He pouted at Cheater and retracted his hand, a little put off because he couldnt handle a joke. "Brat - ya are a germ.."He replied lamely and looked back at Emerald, "Not everyone in New Yawk is rude an' immature like her. Ya jus' gotta make sure you hang out with the right people." He gave her an arrogant smile like usual.

She took it as her turn to pout, as the comment about being a germ, while it might not have been true, was still hurtful. "I take offence to that, ya know." Cheater mumbled, crossing her arms.
It took her only a moment to forget it though, as she smiled brightly. "Hope you feel very welcome here in the Bronx, we've got some really great people..."

Outside the Bronx lodging house, Rodger was waiting. Nicholas had sent him to 'take care' of Cheater...and that he intended to do. No one made it out of the Raconteurs alive.

Lukas ignored Cheater, choosing to belive he did nothing wrong. AS the girls deserted him he looked around and shrugged. "See you later ladieeeees!"

Flick walked into the lodging house just as everyone was leaving, it had been awhile since he had been downstairs. He usually took the roof to get in and out of the lodging house, he took a seat on a chair and relaxed.

Fox entered the lodging house and looked around. She too noticed everyone suddenly leaving. She stopped generally near the door. Her hazel eyes scanned the area until she saw someone sitting in a chair. She smiled softly and made her way to him. "Excuse me, but do you know who I should talk to about staying here?" Her voice was soft and happy.

Lukas sat on his dusty couch, pondering what he had said or if he smelt or what scared his lady friends away. His thoughts were interrupted as Flick and Fox repopulated the room. He snorted as the girl went directly to Flick and immediately answered her question before Flick could have a chance to breath.
"Hes gone!" He practically yelled in order to beat Flick to the punch, "But I'm here an' I'm second best!" He gave a cocky little grin.

Flick had been about to answer the girl when Lukas answered. And he didn't like his answer, not because he said he was the leader but that Ace was gone. He guess he knew that Ace was somewher, but he still hadn't figured it out...yet. Flick smiled at the girl, "Sometimes our leadeh, Ace, tends to disappear on us, neveh leaves us foh too long, but we neveh know what happens to him." He smiled at the girl and held out his hand, "Da names Flick." He didn't introduce the other boy, because if he was the second best then that was his job.

Fox looked up at Lukas as he talked and she wasn't too sure about the cocky grin on his face. She was glad when Flick still decided to answer her. She returned her gaze back to him. "Oh, okay." She took his hand. "I'm Fox." She introduced herself, smiling. Then she looked back up to Lukas, "Well, I suppose if you're second best then you'll know who else I can talk to about it." She smiled jokingly. She didn't want to make Lukas mad, she was just teasing. "Is it alright if I stay here?" she asked him.

Lukas rolled his eyes when Flick talked. He was on this mission to be important and the center of attention - but then again when wasn't Lukas? He smiled again when Fox addressed him but it faded into a look of uncertainty with what she said. He didn't know if it was an insult or if she genuinely thought he may be the second most important person in the house. "Umm" He stammered for a moment the shrugged deciding that Ace wasn't here to stop him so why not, "Of course ya can stay! Ya have my permission!" He said over dramatically then put his hand out to shake, "Lukas Berg's the name."
