(New Day)
Lucky was sitting on the fountain, playing solitaire. Figuring she'd finish the game she'd started back on her Aunt's landing. She was curled into her coat, enjoying the scenery and trying to pretend she wasn't freezing.

Prince held her coat around herself. It was rather comical, even the ice in the fountain had nearly frozen over. She saw someone sitting on the side of the fountain and thought she'd go investigate. Coming up behind the girl she said, "Uhhh... you can put that two up there on that Ace, just... sayin'," she said with a smirk.

Lucky brought her eyes up and watched Prince a long moment. Beofre she did as she suggested. She smirked a bit. "You dont' recognize me do you?" she grinned a bit, green eyes glowing. Considering last time she'd seen the Queens leader she was dealing with two hostile newsies and Lucky had actually had her hat.

Prince looked at her for a second. ...had she been Avalanche, she would have recognized her... however...
"Should I?" she asked. "Heh... sorry... but I don't," she said apologetically. She sat down beside her on the fountain. "You uhhh... kinda look familiar, but I... can't place where I seen ya," she said shaking her head. Some leader she was, couldn't remember newsies she'd met before.

Lucky snorted and continued to move her cards, "I don't blame you, I wasn't in your lodgin' house for to long.." She brushed her hair over her shoulder. "I used to have a hat... and the coats new.." Actually she'd changed quiet a bit since then, and most if it was for the better. She gave prince the same defiant look she'd had when she'd walked into the Queens lodging house before she smirked. "A reintroduction.. my name's Lucky.."

"...whoa!" she said as she just about fell into the frozen fountain. "Lucky! God, dat's right... geeze, think I woulda remembered my own kid," she said laughing a little. "Right... you moved to Brooklyn a while later didn't ya?" She remembered her now. "Man, long time no see," she siad looking at her old friend. "How are ya?"

Lucky grinned, "I ain't changed that much.." She smiled a bit and laughed. "I'm loving Brooklyn.. have to tell ya Prince.. I about went around smotherin' girls in their sleep staying at you're lodgin house." She shrugged a bit. "Just life I guess. How 'bout you.. still playing hard to get with old JackJack?" Lucky quirked an eyebrow at Prince. The Queens leader would be surprised just how much the girl really did know about what went on in New York. For someone who kept to themself most of the time she was rather well informed.

"Well I'm glad you decided not ta kill any of my kids. Ya got my thanks for dat," she said laughing. "Far as playin' 'hard ta get', I'm long past that. He an' I been datin' since... well 'bout the time the Racounter's came around," she said with a small smug little smile on her face. "It's been goin' rathah well too. Had ya stuck around," she said giving her a playful shove, "you woulda known dat. And how 'bout yaself? Got ya eye on any guy in da city?" Since Prince had lost touch with the girl she hadn't know what Lucky had been doing, or who she'd been with.

Lucky bit her lip and chuckled a bit, giving her friend a grin. "Hah, yeah I do. We been going together, kind of since before I bolted.. he's something that's for sure..only person besides that Racetrack kid who could give me a run for my money at cards.." And she was head over heals, which for Lucky was something. As a gambler, and a girl, she didn't really play with her heart to often. She was basically in it with everything she had, cause Miranda Savario didn't do anything by halves. "We made a bet.. more like a deal... I'm really hoping I get to keep up my end.."

Prince got interested at the mention of a bet... or a deal. "Oh really? And I suppose dat it would be considered nosey of me ta ask exctly what dat... deal that ya gonna keep ya end of is?" she asked. She leaned foward putting her elbows on her knees, and putting her chin in her hands, looking at Lucky with a curious smile. For looking and trying to act like a boy, Prince sure was a gossip as a girl.

Lucky gave her a smirk, "Ya know, for someone who pretends ta be a boy, you're damn nosey.." She chuckled and shook her head. "It was just.. ya know.. a year from the 24th of December if he didn't have the money to buy a showboat.. I'd give him all I had to get one.. that's all.."

"Oh really?" she said sitting up a little straighter. "Wow... with an invenstment like that in a guy, you must have a lotta faith in him," she said shaking her head a little. "Either that, or not need the money at all. Either way... I hope it goes well for the both of ya." She leaned back slightly, as much as one could, sitting on the ledge of a fountain. "Ya must like him a lot huh?" she asked. She was seeing if she could make the girl blush.

Lucky wasn't a blusher most days and she gave her a freind a smug smirk. "I really do like him, if you want to know the truth when we first met I just wanted to show him he wasn't nearly as good as he thought he was." She laughed. "Funny how things never really go as planned, huh, Prince.."

"Just the way fate plans it I guess," she said with a shrug to her friend as she sat up again. "Fate's creative like that..." she added with a smile in return. "Kinda annoyin' though, ain't it? So," she said getting back on topic here, "he was a tough guy huh? Thought he was da best thing since sliced bread?" she laughed a little more.
