His smile returned after she kissed him. Now it was apparent to him that she did not mind but liked it. He relaxed his body, becoming less rigid, and slid his hand back down to her waist. 'Sweet' wasn't the normal adjective people used to describe him; he was used to crass or moody or something else mildly critical. "Glad someone thinks so" he mumbled and rested his chin on the top of her head. Fox was intriguing to him, they barely knew each other but yet both seemed to let their guard down and just be comfortable - something quite rare for him.

She grinned as he rested his chin on her head. She buried her face in his chest, completely at ease, realizing that they hardly knew each other, it didn't feel odd or uncomfortable, she felt as if she had known him for years. She smiled softly, her hand gently stroking his chest, half playing with his shirt. She closed her eyes and listened to his heartbeat, his breathing, ignoring any other sounds.
(lol, I was in my car earlier and I totally though about when you kissed her on the cheek and 'Kiss the Girl' from Ashley Tisdale came on the radio, it totally fit! hehe!)

Skittery took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He loved how she'd just snuggle into him completely at ease. He took one of his hands and started to intertwine his fingers into her hair gently playing with it. "How'd a girl like you end up 'ere alone..?" he thought aloud. He'd wondered it every since she showed up next to the band being a wallflower just like himself.
((lol that works all to well! its funny how you think about RP during the day - i totally do to at times, i swear it is taking over my life at times...))

She smiled as she felt him start to play with her. She took a deep relaxed breath. "I don't know...I suppose it was fate..." she wasn't sure she believed in fate, but right now it seemed plausible. "What do you mean a girl like me?" She asked, a bit teasingly, but still completely curious as to what he really meant.
((Hehe!! I know!! It happens all the time, and I have totally felt like that too, sometimes I have to force myself to not think about it.))

Skittery lifted his chin from her head and glanced down at her face best he could. He stopped moving his hand about her hair and let it rest on her shoulder. "Well" he started slowly trying to formulate his words. He really didn't like explaining things like this; it was mildly embarrassing because no matter what it would sound faintly sappy. "ya look great - I mean that dress an' everything" He smiled faintly and went on, " an' yer so easy to be with...would've thought someone would 'ave snatched you up.." he trailed off at the end and started to scratch at his neck, as if it would brush away his embarrassment.
((oy this makes us sound like we really need lives lol))

Fox lifted her head off of his chest so she could look up at him. She let him talk, a smile forming on her lips. She watched him, her eyes soft as he finished. "Thanks." She reached up, taking his hand that was scratching his neck, intwining their fingers together and bringing his down. She stood on her tiptoes, then hesistated, thinking. Then smiled and gently moved to kiss his lips lightly, before moving back again and looked down.
((lol, yea it does!))

Skittery stared blankly at her - he was not expecting that, especially after he kissed her..on the cheek. After his surprise passed he started to laugh. His knobby fingers gripped around her hand and his grin was back tugging at his face. "I do make ya a bit confident don't I?" He asked referring to her past comment.

She smiled, and giggled lightly. She shrugged and squinted her nose, shaking her head. "No, not a bit." She said sarcastically. She stepped back a bit, a bit worried that she had made a mistake but trying not to show it. She looked up at the bit of sky she could see and noticed clouds, she smirked, maybe it would rain. She looked back at Skittery. "Just like I don't make optimistic right?" she teased lightly.

"Ha" Skittery let out quietly biting his lower lip. "Ya got me there..." He didn't let her step back too far but caught her glance skyward. " Someone bein' a bit pessimistic about them clouds?" he teased back "Why don't I start takin' ya home? It's a long way an' wouldn't want ya gettin' all wet like a drown rat..." his voice trailed off at the end, almost into a whisper.

She smiled and looked at him. "I wasn't being pessimisitc. I love the rain." Shegrinned, "And I've love for you to take me home. It is a kinda far away and I supposed it's getting kinda late huh?" She didn't really want to leave him, but knew she'd him again, so she'd do her best to be happy about it.

"Well I think da rains miserable" SKittery countered, still smiling. "Ain't nothin' fun about walkin' 'round in wet chaffin' pants and soggy socks.." It was his first bit of negativity for the night, but all in good company. He nodded and gave her another quick peck on the cheek before sliding out from under the coat. He grabbed her wings which were set aside and offered his hand.

She smiled as he kissed her cheek and willingly took his hand. "Thanks Skittery." She said softly. Even though she was no longer under the coat, she didn't feel as cold anymore. She was so happy just to be there, to enjoy life, to be with someone as great as Skittery, she didn't know she could ever feel this way.

Skittery led her out of the dingy little alley, smiling to himself. Her wings were hoisted under his other arm. It was a cool crisp night, the could being the only downfall of it all only because the walk was long and who knew if they would hold. He didn't feel the need to say anything because frankly, the night had gone better than he could have imagined.
