"Thanks," she said with a small smile to him.
"So! The war's ovah for good huh? You talked ta Spot an' everythin'. I'm impressed," she said grinning at him. "Sorry about... that though." She still felt badly for not saying anything. "But I mean with Ace an' everything goin' on..." she sighed a little. "I probably shoudla gone and talked ta Spot myself huh?" she said feeling a bit bad. She shoulda done a lot of things that she didn't.

Jack shrugged. He couldn't stay mad at her, even if he tried. "Nah...don't mention it." He sighed. "Spot and I go back farther anyways...I was the best to go talk to him. I always can get through to him." He smiled sideways at her. "...its in da past. I'm tryin' ta forget the past Prince. Let's go forward."

Prince nodded, she wasn't one to live in the past herself. She never even talked about it, if she could help it that is. "Forward... right... so... how do we go forward from... here?" she asked. Being their age, and being newsies, she didn't see how they could go forward at all.

Jack smirked. "Go to Santa Fe, of course." He was joking--but only just. He was uneasy. The war had just ended, but something foul was afoot.
He could feel it.

"Oh? I bet you'd just pick up and go huh? Jus... leave dis place b'hind? Da kids, da city, everythin'? I dun think youse could do it," she said. She'd picked up on Jack's uneasy feeling, and knew exactly what he meant. Something amiss was happening, but she couldn't place it, and decided she'd deal with it when it presented itself. For now, she was going to keep her spirits as high as possible, and try and keep Jack's the same way. "Nah, ya like dis place to much," she said shaking her head and keeping the smile on her face.

Jack laughed softly. "Nah...I just like you too much." He smirked down at her, his dark eyes sparkling. "Come on...let's get ya back to Queens..."

((New day))
Isabela was out exploring Manhattan still. It was an interesting place. After she'd left the Harbor she made her way over to MIdtown. She'd gotten hungry, and so this fruit cart was the peftect place. She picked out an apple and paid for it as well before she shined it on her shirt and taking a bite out of it.

Dodger happened up and smiled at the gypsy girl flirtatiously, she was a lovely woman if he'd ever spyed one, his smile broadened a bit. "'Ello there miss. How are you doin' taday?" He considered just sliding the apple into his pocket, but instead paid for the apple with a boyish grin.

Isabela looked at the boy with a start before she smiled back at him, her usual flirtatious smile. "I'm good, thank you, and yourself?" she asked him as she took yet another bite out of her apple. Well, he seemed like quite the charming young boy to her.

He looked around and then smiled, "I'm doin' good ta day, that I am.." his usual british bur coming off without a hitch, she had an accent herself and that made him smile a bit wider.

She laughed a little as she looked him over. "Are you a newsie too? Might I ask your name?" After meating a boys named 'Sneaks and Jackal' and girls named 'Lucky and Denim' she was really starting to wonder if all newsies had these interesting names, and if so she wanted to learn more about them.

She laughed a little at the name. Not in a rude way, but then he must have been a newsie like that. "Creative name... Artful Dodger," that name she could pronounce correctly, but she'd gotten a lot better at her english pronunciations. "Very pleased to meet you Mr. Doger," she said with a smile to him. He seemed like a very nice boy, she was enjoying his company already.

He smiled, she was lovely, and sweet as well. "You may call me Dodger.." he couldn't help himself it seemed. He took her hand and kissed it lightly, wiggling his eyebrows. "It is a pleasure, miss-" she'd yet to introduce herself, and he wanted to know her name.

"Isabela," she said almost instantly. "Isabela Maria." She hardly ever gave her last name. The only ones who knew it were her brothers and herself. She kept it to herself... always had. Old habbit probably. "You are qute the charmer, aren't you Dodger?" she said to the boy with a smile of her own.
