there is where the Leader's meet to discuss important affairs that may or may not include all of New York. An old warehouse, a single light hangs from the ceiling, underneath which the round table rests, four chairs set up around it.

Jack stood a ways from the table, leaning agaist the wall. He was smoking a cigarette to calm his nerves. He wasn't sure what was going on, other than Spot was out for blood. Prince had said something about one of his boys getting hurt, but what did that have to do with Jack? If Spot was blaming him it was going to get real ugly real fast. What was this about?

Prince walked in the side door and quietly closed it behind her. She took matters of the leaders very seriously, so she wasn't smiling at the current time. She was focused. She walked over to Jack and nodded to him. "Ya know what's goin' on?" she asked.

"No idea," Jack said, trying to sound confident. "Ya said something about a Brooklyn kid last time I saw ya, right?"
He blew smoke into the air, still thinking. If Spot was going after him in particular, he was going to have to figure out exactly what had happened. None of his boys knew what had happened either.
((I don't know how they all figured out the meeting, so I'm assuming Jack heard it from Prince, who heard it from Ace, ect.))

"What aboud it?" she asked. She didn't remember saying anything about Brooklyn, the last time she and Jake spoke, but she may not be remembering correctly. "All's I hoid was trouble... an' Spot's mad... an Ace ain't too happy neither."

Speakin of Ace, the door opened with a sharp bang, and in stepped the dark haired Bronx leader. His eyes were fierce shards of blue ice, his jaw clenched. He nearly slammed the door behind him. aint too happy? That was a supreme understatement.

"Yeah, Spot's mad, and I think he's blaming--" Jack began, but was cut off as the door openned with a bang. Ace looked like he was about to kill someone; Jack could only hope it wasn't him.
He didn't finish what he had been saying, but put out his cigarette with his boot and walked to stand behind one of the seats, waiting for Ace to explain.

Prince followed Jack towards the table, and stood behind a chair herself. She looked a little scared, but she hid it well, and replaced it with determination. "So... what's wrong Ace? What's happened?" she asked leaning forward, onto the back of the chair, and looking directly at Ace.

Ace jerked his seat out and nearly collapsed into it. His eyes were narrowed as he sighed and crossed his arms. "One of Spot's kids...Spike...Was found dead on your land, Jack."

Spot walked in and slammed the door behind him with all of his might. His hair was unrulely and there was a wild look in his eye that indicated that he was out for blood. "KELLY," he roared "WHAT IS DA MEANIN OF DIS? IF IT WAS YOU OR ONE OF YOU'AH DOITY ROTTEN DAMNED NEWSIES YOU'S IS GUNNA BE SORRY." Spot screamed without a breath of air.

Ace was on his feet in two seconds- his hand laying on Spot's arm lightly, "Wait a second, Spot, befoah you go murderin people...and trust me, if you are right bout dis, ill help ya...lets just sit down and have a nice strong drink."
He tried to steer the other toward his chair, "Where's Red?" He asked lightly.

Jerked his arm away from Ace violently but followed his advice and sat down. "Watchin Brooklyn. I nev'ah thought da day would come whea'h I can't even lead da city without leavin' someone in charge. Guess times has changed eh? Backstabbin left and right" Spot said with a burning glare directed towards Jack

Ace haned him a glass full of something strong, standing just behind the others chair. He didn't need to say a thing, and really, it was plain as day. He was standing with Brooklyn on this one. A kid found dead in Manhattan. What were you supposed to think? "Times have changed, Spot. You wouldn't have had ta leave Red in charge, cause there would have been no need foah such a thing. In the past."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Prince said holding up her hands. She had to think about this for a second. She kept her ground next to Jack. "Kid found dead... in Manhattan... you think one of da Manhattan boys did it? Dey would nevah!" she said. She was defending them as if they were her own Queens newsies. "Not one of dem boys is a killah," she said shaking her head as she looked at Spot and Ace. She had friends in Manhattan... looks like she's with Jack on this one.

Jack glared back at Spot, his face going slightly red. What right did Spot have to blame him for something his boys obviously had nothing do with? He should know as well as anyone that the Manhattan boys would never mess with Brooklyn.
"Spot, think about this..." He said, trying to keep from yelling. "My boys would never do anything like that. Ya know they wouldn't."
