Ace looked over at her and nodded. He knew she would understand, if no one else. They had always been good friends, and even the war hadn't done all that much to damage that. When they got along, they were like a brother and sister to each other. "Yah."

Spot raised an eyebrow. "And why else are you here, Ace?"

"Basically what Prince already said," He met Spot's eyes, and then shrugged a bit, "And to tell you what i know. Isn't that why these meetings are held?" He tapped his finger on the top of the table absently. "Four headquarters, four leaders, trying to outdo us, take control of us....by bribing our kids and taking them from us."

Jack raised an eyebrow, listening. He still didn't trust Ace and didn't think him going off on his own was the best idea. And he did think they needed to work together.
But Jack thought it needed to be the three of them. Leave Ace out of it.

Spot rolled his eyes and ignored Ace. As far as he was concerned, Ace was a betrayer.
Looking to Jack and Prince he nodded. "We need to work together. I say We find someone to cover Bronx. Maybe one of my body guards."
...with Ace gone, and a liability, they needed a new leader. Ace might get killed anyways.

Prince sighed a little. "But why put a Brooklyn boy in the Bronx? Ace would know better than we would who could keep an eye out for him while he's away." She wasn't giving up that easy. Even if it made both Spot and Jack mad... she trusted him, and that may be because he trusted her, but she knew now, Ace didn't lie.

Ace's eyes flickered to Prince and he gave her a soft, and thankful smile. At least she was sticking up for him, albeit a little, but that was fine with him. At this point, any help he could get would help. He tapped his fingers on the table, thinking. "...Im not too sure my kids are ready to just up and take charge without me there..." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. He was exhausted from all this. "Any ideas of who might be able to handle it?"

Jack shrugged. "I dunno, Ace. I'd say that goil you're spendin' time wid a lot...but she disappeared as well." He looked to Prince...they were going to have a talk when this was done, for sure.
"...You know your burrow, Ace. You know your kids best. Pick one."

Ace looked thoughtful for a moment, and then he shook his head. "There aren't many kids in my burrough who can handle it......" He sighed and rubbed at his face. He was getting a migraine. "Flick, maybe...."

Spot waved his hand. "We have more pressing matters, really." He looked hard at Ace. "You say you're on our side---then tell us all you know about the Raconteurs. Give us info that can help us."
He was tapping his cane on the floor. Ace better pony up the info, otherwise Spot would never believe him.

To be honest, Spot had a really good point. If Ace knew all he said, they would need the info, and it needed to be good, or they wouldn't buy it. Prince's eyes turned to Ace. They weren't hard or soft for that matter, just curious and encouraging. She wanted to know too after all, but if he didn't give them anything good... she herself might not even believe him.

Ace sighed, exhausted and not up to the interogation, but he went with it nonetheless. Rubbing at his face until he looked at least a little awake and aware, he tapped his fingertips on the table top. "I dont know a lot." He said softly, "I can hold a gun to my head again, but Nicholas probably still wont fully trust me." He bit his lip in thought. "Four burroughs, four leaders. Matching us, but making it better. Pickpocketing, stealing...." He looked over at Prince, and Spot. "If i heard correctly, Lanche joined them the other day." He felt like that needed to be said, before moving on.
"But there are kids there who dont want to be there. They've come from the refuge...I think he might have struck a deal or something." Not a good thing. "I dont know what they really want with all this, like i said, Nicholas never has trusted me completely, but im keeping my eyes open. Im supposed to be recruiting right now, but i stopped to talk to Cheats before i got here. She's gonna keep a watch on the kids for me."
Running a hand through his hair, he groaned softly. "I dont know much about the overall plans, and im sorry about that, but as far as people goes, i can take a stab at who is there, or at least, who is there and in Queens at the moment."

Spot shrugged. If Queens was the headquarters, that was probably where the kidnapped were held. The others could take care of themselves. "I think your information is enough to formulate a plan." He pointed at the door. "...bye Ace." He waved a bit.
He didn't want to discuss what the other leaders were going to do in front of Ace. He was too much of a liability. If the Raconteurs somehow figured out that he had come here, Ace would be interogated and possibly broken, thereby destroying all their plans. There was just too much risk in him staying to hear what they were going to do.
He had to leave.

Ace didn't say a word, just got to his feet, pushed his chair in and walked toward the door, pulling his cap from his back pocket as he went. Placing it on his head, he looked back at them briefly. He wasn't going to say anything....Besides, he would have been worried if they hadn't asked him to leave. He understood the game he was playing and what he had done.
"Bring em down." He murmurred under his breath as he left, pulling the brim low over his eyes, and shutting the door behind him.

Jack seemed to relax a bit after Ace was gone. "...Well...that was...interesting." He snorted. "So...I might have an idea." He paused, running a hand through his hair before continuing. "...We out number them, right? Why dont we just...get our kids together...maybe...talk to the pigs...and storm the castle?"
He laughed a bit, embarassedly. "...not the best idea, I know."
