He deflated and plopped back on the sand. He was relieved as nothing should formulate from the confrontation. He looked between both of them, "Why?" He asked simply then added, "Brooklyn must be ticked..."

Flanna nodded. "Yeah..I think Ace got tired of seeing you guys hurt...so he pulled out. Brave of him..." She put her hand out to Lukas. "So can you stop being so gruff and shake my hand like a fellow newsie?"

"Well serves 'em right..Brooklyn got everyone in ta dis stupid mess.." Lukas grumbled. It was funny how his opinion changed along with Bronx's position - just a few days earlier he blamed Manhattan for all their problems, but now that they were not an enemy they weren't a target for him either.
He gave all his attention to Flanna, looking up at her skeptically and finally sighed, spit in his hand (even though she did not) and grasped hers. "Yeah. Fine. I'se guess." He affirmed the action repetitively each time with less enthusiastic words. "now that we're neutral an' all....Names Lukas Berg by the way." He ended it all off with a grin as if to redeem himself from all the hostility and haughtiness he had displayed.

Flanna smiled softly. "Glad to have your name, Lukas." She shrugged embarrassedly "Sorry about forgetting to spit....it slips my mind..haven't been a newsie too long ya know..."

He yawned not really interested now that he didn't need to 'show off'. His eyes wondered between the others and the waters edge. He changed his position so he could face the water again, just to make sure it wouldn't creep up on him. "Its jus' a way ta make sure if one gets sick we all do. No one can 'ave an angle dat way..." He popped another candy in his mouth smirked then pulled it out. He held the sticky treat out to Flanna, "If ya really want me germs dis is the best way..." His smirk got larger "...außer dem küssen..." He puckered his lips and made a kissing noise at both the girls before laughing histerically.

Lukas' jaw dropped. He had never expected her to TAKE it. Slowly his nose wrinkled up and he retracted his hand, wiping the sticky residue on his pants. "You are...disgustin'!" He just looked at her, limp jaw, twisted nose, utterly taken by surprise. "I woulda prefered da kiss..." he mumbled before looking at the ground.

"Knitting?! I don't even know HOW to knit. Of course... you might be able to teach me, Lukas..." Cheater trailed off, smirking before she sat back down on the rocks.

Flanna laughed. Lukas amused her. "Hey..its tasty candy. And you did offer." She smirked and said thoughtfully. "Besides...Lukas...eating your candy is much more intimate than give you a kiss."

"Exactly Cheats, worthless" He huffed back at her, resenting everything about her little smirk. "and you, " He looked back to Flanna, " Candy aint intimate..." He really had no comeback for that one..He gave a big snort looked at them both and snapped out, "Yer both jus' full of it!" Stupid girls always making him look foolish.

"Awww, are we making you feel bad Lukas?" Cheater cooed, hugging him with a mocking look in her eye. "We're sorry... and candy is intimate, but the person who gives it away has to be intimate, otherwise it isn't intimate candy. Lukas isn't very intimate... so it's not intimate candy."

Flanna laughed. Cheater may have been a strange one...but she was humours. Leaning over she ruffled Lukas' hair. "Sorry Lukas...I suppose I'm not the best at making friends."
