A long center aisle, rows and rows of pews, and beautiful stained glass windows show the wonder of this religious structure. This is the place to hold any major religious event such as a babtism, funeral, or wedding.

She silently walked up the center aisle and took a set in the third row. Devil was right on her heals, even though she had tried to make him stay outside, he had slipped into the church. For a while she look with wonder at the light playing through the stain glass windows. The light sparkled and danced from the windows in a multitude of colors. She had always admired stain glass windows and the artistry put into them. She knelt and folded her hands together and began to pray.
Then her mind strayed to her home church. She would go there to escape from her mothers criticism. Slowly tears began to fall, she could never please her mother, there was always something wrong. Either with the way she dressed or with how she presented herself. Then she wasn't pretty enough and then she was too pretty. She didn't notice the tears until Devil began to whine and stuck his nose under her arm.
"I've made a mess of everything haven't I. I never could do anything right," She wrapped her arms around Devil and cried into his fur. It seemed as if she cried forever, finally she lifted her face and looked into Devil's face. "Here I am feeling sorry for my self, guess I will have to make a new life for myself and hope for the best." At that Devil licked her face. Laughing she tried to block her face, "Devil, please stop." She giggled still trying to protect her face from the onslaught.

Prince smiled at the girl and the dog. She walked down the center aisle and stopped about two rows behind the girl. "Hey, I dun think I've seen youse 'round heah b'fore," she said as she dared and stepped another aisle closer. "Youse a newsie, or just someone whose sittin' in a church with a dog?" Prince had only good intentions which could easly be told by the smile on her face. She was a bit worried about the girl though. She thought she had heard someone crying.

Startled she looked up. She hadn't heard anyone enter the church and had hoped she would have been safe here from prying questions. Spade stayed where she was, but prepared herself to run if necessary. She didn't know what this girl wanted, but now that she knew that a war was going on between the newsies, she didn't know what was right to say and what wasn't.
"Yes, I'm a newsies," she said, but looked down at Devil and muttered, "at least I guess I am." She was uncomfortable, but Devil always sensing her feelings started licking her face again. "Devil," she whined, "That is enough." Then as Devil look forlorn she couldn't help but laugh.

Prince smiled at the two of them and took her hat off momentarily to let her hair fall down around her shoulders. "I'm sorry if I'm... inturruptin' anythin'," she said. She'd just found herself coming to this church a lot recently... it was always unlocked, and always a nice escape from the heat outside. "Youse... I dun recognize ya. You new 'round heah, or... just not a Queens goil?" she asked. There was no reason to have to question people too badly, especially since as of late she's been in a good mood.

Alley walked into the church. It had been years and years since she had been to one. But she didn't know where else to go. She noticed two other people. One she recgonized the other she didn't. She sat in the back pew not wanting to be spotted or anything for that matter. She sat there her head down as she curled up crying silently.

She swallowed, "Well, it's a little of both. I've only recently arrived into town and also I suppose I'm not a Queens newsie, because I haven't really chosen a part of the city. Though I guess I mostly stay in the Bronx." She knew this was someone who was always in charge, but she still didn't understand her behavior. She usually stuck with the rich girl persona and didn't let anyone intimidate her, but she was so lost now.
She didn't want to be the rich girl, she wanted to only blend in with everyone. Maybe even become lost in the crowd. She looked back at the stain glass window and realized that the light was dancing around and almost playing with the shadows. You can not change your past, but you can change your future.

Alley began sobbing she couldn't help it. She looked up at the ceiling and for the first time in her life prayed. "is this punishment was i never meant to be born...Why is this happening to me." The brooklyn girl was lost, confused, and just plain mixed emotions. She was breaking down and she didn't care. She was still curled up tightly.

Blaize had been coming in, half to pray, and half to hopefully find Prince. He had heard she had been seen coming here, and needed to talk to her. Hearing sobbing, he took a detour of sorts and found Alley. Green-blue eyes widening a little, he slid around and knelt in front of her. "Hey..." He murmurred in his soft British accent. "hey...are you all right?"

Alley shook her head. "no i'm not alright. I'm scared." She'd actually admitted to being scared what was becoming of her.

Blaize was a kind person by nature, and he reached out and brushed away some tears. "Why are you scared, honey?" He brushed some hair from her face.

It was a surprise that Alley wasn't shying away from him then again she wasn't herself. "Because i'm confused and i'm lost and i don't like being either. And i was just told something by a doctor that i didn't want to hear."

Blaize listened to her, "Well, thats not good." He said gently, "I have an open ear and nowhere to go, so do you want to talk about it?" He was always a sucker for someone in need, and he slipped his hand in his pocket, checking to see if he had his money on him. "Why dont we go get you some tea? It helps, trust me."

Alley looked at him for a moment and said very low. "He told me i was pregnant." She however offered his offer to get some tea. She stood up careful not to step on him.

Blaize's eyebrow rose a bit, and he got to his feet, "Well...its not quite the end of the world, is it? I mean, depending on how you view this, and the circumstances surrounding it..."
(there a tea house or a cafe thing around here? O.o)
