A bit shy? Just trying to cool off from the hot sun? You've found what you need in the back row

Jockey slipped into the back row and looked around. Not many people were here during the week. Bowing her head, she whispered a small prayer hoping some angel would take it up to her parents. "God, please send Derek home to me..."

Fancy slid onto the bench beside Jockey and looked at her carefully. "Hey..." she said slowly. "You don't look so good...."

Jockey glanced away from where she had been staring at the figure of Christ hanging on the cross to the girl beside her. "Eh, you might say dat. I's jist tinkin' o' somebody. I's 'll be alright dough. Me name's Jockey." She held out her hand with a small smile.

"Jokcey!" Prince yelled as she looked in the church. "Get outtah heah! Back to da lodin' house! Now..." She looked at Fancy for a long second, decided it best not to say anything for the time being, and turned and left the chuch. Still in a burning rage she continued towards the lodin' house.

Jockey stared after her leader and shrugged. "Dat was weird...Guess I'll see ya round, Fancy." Jockey jumped up and hurried after her leader. If there was one thing she learned about the tough girl, it was not to cross her.

Fancy raised her eyebrows. Then a look of realization dawned on her. She lept to her feet and got the heck out of Queens... she ran to Brooklyn, not wanting to have to deal with the Bronx kids at the moment....

((New Day))
Gamble new she was out of Brooklyn territory. Frankly, she didn't really care. She walked into the church and sat on the bench in the back row. Bringing her knee's to her chest, she rested her forhead on her knee caps and closed her eyes tightly. She felt like she was going to cry. Gamble had lost the trust of a lot, if not all, the Brooklyn newsies. She bit her lip to keep it from quivering and closed her eyes tighter. Gamble never cried. Ever.

Blaize let himself in the church, wanting to have a little time to pray before he went back to the lodging house. Mostly because he needed to figure out a way to keep his being in Bronx a secret from Prince.
Spying Gamble, he slowed down and finally stopped altogether. It wasn't any of his business, but he knew that being by yourself when you were hurting was never a good idea. Sliding in next to her, he laid a hand on her shoulder, "You all right?" He asked in his british accented voice.

Gamble jumped slightly and looked up. "I'm fine." She lied. Her voice sounded bitter. Gamble leaned back on the bench and stared at the ceiling.

"If you dont mind me saying, you dont sound fine." He leaned back and let his hand fall into his lap. Biting his bottom lip, he said softly, "Im Blaize."

"Gamble." She said quietly. Gamble took her hat off and set it on her lap. She ran a hand through her hair and wiped her eyes before a small tear could fall.

"I know im asking a lot of questions for someone you've never met, but do you want to talk about it?" He gave her an even look and a very small smile. "It helps to talk, sometimes."
