"Dat's alright, ya only missed what cha already know," Prince said. "We was just startin' ta get to what ya ain't hoid yet. Our problem now is... Leone, Ace's older brother might be involved... is probably involved . Da Delancey's ain't smart enough ta plan dis on deir own... so someone's gotta be bahind it, and we think it's him."

Jack nodded silently to Ace in greeting, still feeling the tension from the war with the recently neutral leader. He turned back to Prince, a skeptical and confused look on his face. "Who's dis Leone? An' why would he kill. . . Why would he go aftah a newsie?"

Ace knew he was going to have trouble sitting in on this conversation, but this was a question he could answer, and he probably should, considering who Leone was.
"He's my older brother, Jack...and i guess its kinda my fault all this happened. He followed me here when i left Boston..." He shook his head, "Believe me, Cowboy....He would kill a newsie." His eyes were dark as he looked down at the table top.

"So," Prince said trying to help this along a bit, "we think he's involved, but there's simply more to it. He's capable, that's for certain, but for one, is there someone else involved? And two, since it wasn't a newsie who killed him we need ta get Spot to listen to we can get to the bottom of this," she said. "We... gotta get Spot on our side though, that's the hard part."

Jack sighed and slid his hand down his face. "So Leone got da Delancy's ta kill Spike, but someone else is involved too? Is dat what you're sayin' heah?" He leaned back and rested his chin in his hand. He wanted to be the one to talk to Spot, but before he did he wanted to be sure he knew what was going on.

"Wull... yeah," Prince said with a shrug. "I mean, not dat Leone ain't capable or nothin', I jus' think dere might be more to it den dat. I dunno who, or nothin' like that, so it's jus' a guess, but... I think it's definatly possible." She didn't like the idea that someone else was involved, but it was all too possible.

"Well then I guess da question heah is who would benefit da most from us newsies bein' at eachoddas throats," he said matter-o-factly, resting his elbows on the table. "Eiddah that, or who out there's got it out for us," he added darkly, knowing that newsies in New York did have some enemies, especially after the strike.

Ace looked down at the table, tracing the patterns in the grain with this finger. He was thinking about all that had happened, and running their enemies through his mind. For some reason he figured the answers would be there, leaping out at them.
"Snyder." He murmurred under his breath. Yes, Snyder would have loved to see the leaders at each others throars, revenge for the humiliation they put him through during the strike.

Prince was still not fond of the whole Snyder theory, but... she had to admit there was a reason to it then. She sighed, and brought a hand up to her lips and started chewing on her fingernails, old habbit. "So, whada we do about it?" she asked looking at the two boys. At the current time, she had no answer for this question, but she wasn't sure if they did either.

(New Day)
Jackle showed Spade over to a corner table and waited for her to sit down before he sat down himself. They had to leave Devil outside sitting by the door.

She looked over at the door repeatedly to make sure Devil was staying out of trouble. She couldn't help but be worried about him. He was her family now. He had stayed with her and helped her when no one else would. She sat down, taking off her hat she ran her fingers through her hair. Sighing she looked at Jackle and grinned ruefully, "Sorry, I'm just worried about Devil. He tends to get into trouble when I look away."
Looking around Tibby's she took in everything about the place. Everyone was either eating or talking. And talking loudly. "Well, its crowded in here. So, how many people live in the lodging house?"

"Alot but it depends on who decides to come in at night." He shrugged. It was a place to stay and half the time most newsies were out late or visiting other places. The life of a newsies. He waved down a waiter. "A hot dog and water please." He turned to Spade. "Your turn."

"Umm...the same sounds good," she murmured. She didn't know what she wanted, she just need something. She felt her stomach growl. She smiled, "Sorry, its been a few days since I've eaten." She sat straight up in her chair and one look around made her realize that everyone was slouching in their chairs. But old habits die hard. "So not many people would realize that I lived there?"

"nope. Everyone comes and goes as the please. Though you might want to make sure out Leader Ace does." He smiled at her. As the waiter went to get their stuff. "Best way to fit in is to be yourself you know. Don't try to act like others. Things will come to you in time."

She smiled a little, "I don't think that people will like me, if I were to act like myself. At least the self I've been around my parents." She looked down at the table, shaking her head. The memories started to come, but she shoved them away. "I don't know about that, but as long as I can have Devil. I think I can survive." The she looked up startled, "I can keep Devil, right?" She looked at him worriedly, she couldn't leave him outside if she was inside. She couldn't live with herself then.
