He cocked an eyebrow. "I'm here for you babe... come to finish what we started..." he smiled, with a glance down at Avalanche. " And your boyfriend ain't gunna stop me..." he grabbed Dusty by the wrist and pulled her to her feet.
"Rex don't..." she said firmly as he pulled her close. "Seriously..."
He smirked at her, his hands on her lower back. "What do ya say? Shall we?"
She struggled against him. "No... I said were over..."
He raised an eyebrow. "Well i didn't..."

"Well I do," Avalanche said standing beside her and taking a step forward so that he was between them, or would be if he didn't have her wrist. "Sorry, looks like she doesn't want you around any more. You better leave," he said in his jovial tone that he used so often, but there was nothing about his face that even slightly suggested he was kidding.

Rex's eyes flashed. "Oh really? and who are you to tell me what to do?" he smirked, with a half laugh. "Shes my girl... i can do what i want with her..."
Dusty flinched, yanking her wrists away from him.
Rex glared at her, he snatched her wrist in one hand and slapped her across the face. "Don't..." he told her in a tone that suggested she was some kind of child.

Avalanche got pissed... fast. He took Rex's other hand and said, "Don't..." in nearly exactly the same tone before sending his fist flying at his face.

Rex artfully dodged the hand with a smirk, before grabbing a hold of Dusty and slamming his own fist into her face. He held a knife to her neck. "Come near her and you'll wish you were never born kid..."
Dusty gave Avalanche a warning look before moving her neck away from the pain.
Rex laughed and held Dustys waist tightly, sliding the knife down her skin a little but harder. A thin line of blood trickled down her neck and down her chest.
Dusty flinched back, her eyes squeezed shut, but she didn't scream, no way was she giving him that sick pleasure.

Avalanche held his hands up and backed up a bit. A knife? ...great. "Look, will ya... stop! Alright, don't hurt her... you wanna hurt somebody? More bragging rights if ya hurt a guy instead of a girl. Any guy can beat up a girl, nothin' to it, I do it all the time," he was lying. And if Dusty thought this was true, and hated him afterwords for it... well at least she'd be safe. "So tell ya what, you take me on. I'll even give ya a head start, a few free punches, and you can use that knife. Hows about it?" he asked. He was pretty strong, so beating him in a fight would be real good for 'bragging rights.'

Dusty knew right awat that he was lying, she struggled against Rex and finally broke free, due to Rex shoving her away.
"Okay Pretty boy... lets go.." he challenged, sending that same sinister smirk at Avalanche.
Dusty shook violently. There was no way to Avalanche would beat Rex with that knife. She stared over at him with wide eyes and shook her head. "D.O.N.T" she mouthed over at him.
Rex caught that out of the corner of his eye and threw the knife at Dustys head, missing by an inch. "Shuddup whore..." he spat, taking a threatening step towards her before moving over to Avalanche. "Free punches won't be necissary, if im gunna beat you its gunna be fair..."

"Get," he mouthed to her himself, not wanting this guy to go after her if something went wrong. He looked back to Rex. "We can't fight in here. We'll knock stuff over. Things'll get in the way, let's take it outside. More room," he was trying to keep as many people from getting hurt as he could manage. Though he was surprised that this guy was going to fight fair. And had they been outside Avalanche would have grabbed the knife back, and threw it at him, but he wouldn't with all these people around.

Rex nodded his head towards the door. "After you, your Highness..." he spat, grabbing Dustys arm and dragging her outside with them. He threw her against the hard stone wall and faced Avalanche. "She knows better than to go anywhere..." he snarled.
Dusty watched them from where she sat on the ground, her head throbbing and face bleeding, meraculously she still hadn't shed a tear.
Rex stared at Dusty for a moment before slamming a fist into the side of Avalanches head.

Okay, that hurt! Avalanche flew to the side where Rex punched him, he'd have a black eye for sure. He brought his hand up to the side of his face. No blood, good, still this guy was no force to be reckoned with. He quickly turned back towards Rex, and aimed a fist at his head, but instead missed on purpose, and kicked his leg under Rex's feet to get him knocked to the ground.

Rex stared up at Avalanche for a moment, before leaping back to his feet and jumping full on Avalanche, taking him down backwards. "Your gunna be sorry..." he hissed, drawing a second knife and holding it to Avalanches neck, cutting him onlu slightly. "Bad move pretty boy..." Rex had him pinned to the ground, knife to his neck.
Dusty closed her eyes very briefly, before slipping back inside the restaraunt. She emerged a few seconds later, Rex's other knife clasped tightly in her hand. Her eyes flashed fire as she advanced on the two of them. Her mind only screamed one thing and that was kill Rex...

Avalanche stared up at him, showing... little fear, but just a little. He didn't know Dusty was behind him, and Avalanche brought his leg up from under Rex to hit him where it would hurt the most, if ya know what I mean. He just hoped that he hit him, whether or not it was in the right place didn't matter, getting himself free is what mattered, and beating this guy up. He wasn't one for killing.

Rex froze, a look of pain and agravation contorting his face. He fell away from Avalanche and onto his side, he let out a hiss of pain. Dusty stared down at Avalanche, tears streaking her face. She slowly turned her head towards where Rex lay, the knife in his back. She gave Avalanche one last look and backed away slowly. "I'm sorry..." she whispered desperatly.

Avalanche froze as he stood up at her. What had just happened? He stood up and looked at Rex, and saw the knife in his back. His mind flashed as he thought of what to do. First... take the knife out! So, he did that, took the knife right out of his back. But now he had to stop the bleeding which was another problem... then he had it. He took his shirt off and pressed it to the man's back. "Go into the restaurant," he ordered, "and tell them to call the doctors, we need an ambulance, or... something. Now!" He wasn't thinking about who this guy was, nor that he hurt Dusty, or about the cut around his own neck. There was a guy hurt, and bleeding in front of him. In Avalanche's world, all things stop when someone is hurt like that, and no matter who it is, he'll help. It's his nature... and probably has something to do with the guilt of his mother and father's death.

Dusty stared at him for a second, before backing away slowly. Her eyes filling with tears. "No..." she said firmly. She wasn't going to help the man that had made her life pure misery from the day she had met him. Fresh tears fell from her eyes and down her cheeks as she watched Avalanche attempt to help him. "Maybe your not the person i thought you were Avalanche..." she said quietly, her heart breaking all over again, she couldn't comprehend why he wanted to help the other. It just didn't make sense to her. Couldn't he see that she had done that on purpose?
