"Nah, I've been a newsie for yeahs. " Aqua couldn't even remember when she started out being a newsie, "What 'bout ya?" Then she remembered that they were getting into their past, and she didn't even know his name yet.
"Sorry, I'm Aqua." She spit in her hand and held it out for him to shake, not knowing if he did the spit-shake, but trying anyway.

"Flick," He said with his easy grin, spitting in his hand. "Same heah, but i supposed I traveled a bit before i decided ta finally settle down here." He didn't really hid his past but he only told enough so people were satisfied, but didn't know really anything at all. He figured it would just be easier that way. "So what brought ya ta the bronx and dis wonderful pond," he asked.

"Well, I just needed ta relax a lil bit. I just got done talkin' wit Davey Jacobs and Prince 'bout da raise of the papes. Jack doesn't wanna strike, but Spot does I guess. " Thinking about what David said to Prince about the other leaders, she commented, "He said that it would be easier to tawk ta Prince and Dodger foist befoah we get together wit Spot and Jack."
Thinking about the name Flick, she asked, "How'd ya get da name Flick?" with a smile.

"Yeah i'd guess dat too," he said with a sigh he wasn't happy about the raised price of the papes like all the other newsies, but he didn't think it was worth a strike...yet. "But if Dodger is in da strike i'll be right dere behind him." He shook his head at the thought of a strike it would be a tough battle. Looking up when she asked about his name he laughed a little. "I'm not foh sure really," he looked back over the pond, "i guess its partly because sometimes I'll get angry and I'll strike quickly."

Aqua nodded her head. "Yeah, I think Prince might be strikin', but I don't know yet.." Glancing at Flick, she smiled, thinking he was a very handsome person.
"I'll remembah not ta get ya mad." She smiled, hopefully he knew she was joking, because he didn't look like the type that would hurt a girl...ever.

"Really?" Flick hadn't had a chance to talk to any of the leaders, well it was more like he was avoiding them. "I didn't think Prince would strike, but if dats what she wants," he said with a shrug. Always curious what other people thought he looked straight at her and asked, "What do ya think? Should we strike or leave it be?"
He laughed at her, "Well, foist of all thats probably a good plan but ya have nothin' ta worry about."

Thinking about what they should do, leave it be, or strike. After a few minutes, Aqua made up her mind. Looking right back at him, into his big blue eyes, she said, "I think, In my opinion, dat we should leave it be. Last time dey striked, dey hardly won. So what difference would it make if we did it again?"
Glancing back up at the pond, then back to Flick, she commented, "But, if yoah leader strike's, den yoah gunna have ta. So technically, I got no choice. Prince is strikin', and dat is all I gotta say." Aqua smiled at him brightly.

Nodding his agreement he thought about the last strike and realized that if they even wanted to have a chance they had to do some things different. It would be harder to catch the public eye than before because they were old news in a sense. And if the newsies were on strike who was going to get the word around and improve the truth even more. Smiling he glanced back at Aqua, "Ya know I just follow Dodger and I trust him so I'll follow him no mattah what." Of course he always reserved the right to change that opinion but in his opinion Dodger was a good leader.

"Yeah, I guess I would to if I was in Bronx, but I'm in Queens. And Prince is a good leader as well, I give her lots of credit for dat guy voice she has." Aqua laughed remembering one time when Prince kept talking like that and didn't notice.

Magenta had just been chatting, or more like her talking, and him listening, with a boy name Frost. He was ignoring her a lot, and she got very aggravated. All she wants to do is make friends, but she guessed not a lot of people like doing that.
Sitting down crossed-legged in the grass, she stared out at the pond, watching the baby ducks following their siblings and mothers swimming in the water. A few tears came to her eyes as she remembered her mother telling her stories about ducks. With the back of her hand she wiped them away and smiled.

Royal had just gotten a slice of pizza and a glass of water at Tibby's and he was in the mood for a walk around Pelham Bay Park, on his walk he saw some rocks in the pond which gave him and idea to pass the time! He could skip rocks, and so he did and the rocks sank to the bottom a couple of times and sometimes they would skip a couple times and then sink lightly to the bottom.
Royal Flush sat down on a near by bench and watched as a couple of little kids ran into the lake and started splashing each other, which caused him to get wet.

Lexi grinned as she walked around the lake and noticed a few of the kids playing. She wondered if Perry was with them but decided to let it go. Perry had told her she was too protective of him and he wanted to spend time with his friends without someone hovering over him. She sighed he was growing up so fast. That's when she noticed a newsie who looked familiar sitting on the bench. "Mind if I sit here?"

Royal Flush had been caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice a girl walk up to him. He finally noticed her when she talked to him. "Sure go ahead." Royal noticed that she was a very pretty young women. She has brown eyes and brown hair.(correct me if I'm wrong)

Lexi smiled and sat down next to him, "You look familiar. I'm still a little new so you'll have to forgive me for not knowing your name, but I'm Lexi." She held her hand out a little, unsure if he was a newsie or if she'd just seen him around the city. Normally she wouldn't be so forward with someone she didn't know that well, but she felt relatively at ease in his prescense even though she didn't know his name. ((Black hair/Dark blue eyes... Royal brushed off some of the water that the younger kids splashed on him. He suck her hand and said, "Nice ta meetcha Lexi, I'm Royal Flush but you can call me Royal." He smiled showing his perfect teeth at her.
