Another late night for Misery as she pushed open a window from the bed. The cool night air caressed her face as she eased up onto the ledge and made her way for the Roof, a place where she liked to think about the ongoings of the world. Sighing she stared down at the long drop and a shiver of fear bit her slightly but she ignored it and continued on her way. Her short blonde hair managed to get in her eyesight but she merely shook her head and swung up to grab the ledge overhead.
Pulling herself up, she felt her body connect with hard tile and with every ounce of strength she had left, her feet made contact with the rickety shingles. Smirking to herself she walked up towards the top of the roof and sat down watching the stars, pulling out a cigarette she lit it and began to suck in the sweet nicotine. "Dis is da life." she said to herself as she began to search the stars for designs, a past-time she kept to herself regularly.

((New Day))
At this time everyone should be asleep, well..... besides Dot. Dot likes to go up on the roof of the Brooklyn Lodging house, and just think.
Dot would think about selling newspapers, her friends, and sometimes but not usually she would think about the great Spot Conlon.
But tonight she came up to think about her experience as a newsie, and if her sister is alive, and is she is then is she a......newsie? a dancer? is she even alive at all?
Dot sighed and looked up at the stars. The stars reminded her of a friend back home, Stariana.

Smalls quietly made her way up the fire escape, not wanting anyone to hear her and think of it as an ivitation to follow. She hadn't been sleeping much since seeing Corsair and Marauder around, so she had been finding places here and there to spend her nights where she wouldn't bother anyone, and more importantly, where she wouldn't be bothered. Hopping up over the edge of the roof she landed with a small thump and dusted herself off. Before even glancing up she reached in her shirt pocket and pulled out a cigarette, the momentary bright glow lighting her face as she lit it.

(New Day)
Ada had lost the war, Pete had said the lodging house and no matter how sleepily she'd tried to say anything otherwise, she'd lost. She didn't want to meet to many of the newsies from here-- they liked Paulie.. and well she groaned and found a place on the roof where she couldn't be seen at least it wasn't out in the open.

Pete sat down beside her. He swore he'd stay close so she didnt have to worry about being heckled by the other people living here. They wouldnt have made it back to the Bronx in time for them to get much sleep before work anyways. He sighed and leaned back looking up at the night sky. The stars looked beautiful from the roof top any how.

She glanced over at him and sighed softly, they were more or less attached to the hip. "Sorry.." she said with a half shrug. "I didn't meant to get us stuck in Brooks.."

"I dont really mind... I am just worried about you." Ada was really the one who minded staying at a lodging house. He had done it plenty of times before so it really was no problem for him

She frowned and shrugged, "Really, Pete you worry to much I take care of myself just fine.." she made rent, she had a roof over her head, she ate and now-- she sighed and just gave in. Settling her head against his arm as she curled up into herself.

"Yeah I know you do." She did after all take better care of herself then he did of his own self. But she was still Ada and he still cared for her so he could not help but worry. And that cough of hers... that always worried him more then he could express. He put and arm around her and pulled her closer. "Its cold..." That was his excuse he was just keeping her warm.

She didn't know what to do at first, her fingers flexed as if she were trying to decide on what to do with herself. After a moment she followed her instincts and rested her cheek on his chest, shifting to where she could lean next to him in his arms.
How did you know when you were in love? She didn't really know what it meant, her parents back home had been so happy from what she could see and the letters told her as much. Sighing she hugged his middle a little, "A little cold huh.." A little bit, she just wanted him to hold her.

((new day))
Lucky blew a ring of smoke into the night sky from her place sitting on the edge of the roof. Ace was back, it was something she hadn't realized she'd needed until she saw him. Knowing he was there made things a bit easier to deal with but that didn't make it-- well she was working on it anyway.
She sensed war on the horizon with all the leaders battling what to do in this whole strike thing it was hard to understand it now. Blowing another smoke ring she smirked a little, satisfied with herself. "Nice..."

Spunk headed up to the roof, she was way to confused about this whole strike thing and needed to think about it. Everyone was talking about it. It was everywhere, and she just needed to get away. She didn't know what her opinion was on it. Sure, she wanted to stick it to the man like every other newsie. She didn't want to pay these ridiculous prices. But she also wanted to eat for the next couple days. She didn't know what she wanted to do. That's what we had leaders for right? But when even the leaders couldn't decide on what to do. Spunk just needed to get away.
As she reached the roof, she saw someone sitting on the edge of it. She casually walked towards them. Not really knowing what to say. She then sat beside them and sighed. "Hi..."
Spunk wasn't really a intimidating girl by the looks of her. She was petite, had auburn hair that was long and wavy, and she was pretty skinny. She didn't look like she had a lot of fight in her. But oh she did.

Fighter made her way up the fire escape, a hand held to her head. It hadn't stopped pounding all day and she figured the fresh air and cigarette may help her a bit before she goes to bed. As she reached the top she glanced, lighting her cigarette at the same time. God she couldn't deal with her hangover today. She knew she wouldn't be out drinking with Joe anytime soon. As she took a drag she glanced around and spotted Lucky. With a smirk she headed over, "How's it rollin' Lucky?"
She spared Spunk a look and smirk before taking a seat by Lucky, she pulled her legs up to her chest and looked around. It'd been awhile since she'd seen any of her friends. That of course was too be expected since she was working in Queens and spending most of her free time at the bar. Her face paled at the thought of alcohol and she shook her head, trying to ignore both the nautious feeling in her stomach and the pounding headache that seemed neverending.

. "Hi..."
Lucky glanced sideways at the girl and lifted her brow in that, why are you looking at me look. "Do I know you?" Why are you sitting by me? Lucky didn't have to look intimidating she gave off don't touch me in waves. She took another drag from her cigarette blowing the smoke rings again. Sadly no one had ever said that Lucky was Brooklyn's Pulbic Relations expert.... or was she?
"How's it rollin' Lucky?"
Her head snapped around to the sound and a smirked settled on her face as Fighter sat down beside her, "Not to bad, mate... not to bad." She took a long drag from her smoke and blew out a long slow trail. "One of my best mates from when I was a kid blew back into town. Slimy rich boy, but I missed him. How bout you?"
