Scar smirked at her answer as well as the fact that she called him laddie. No one had called him that since his grandda died and no one would dare call him that after the brutal condition his fathers body was found in. It was slightly refreshing instead of annoying like it would be if anyone else. "Most people tend to lose the accent once they've been here long enough."
Laughing he shook her head when she spoke of taking a swim. "I wouldn't go swimming here, at least not alone." Of course he wouldn't mind going swimming with her. He found women lost more inhibitions when they were in the water where people couldn't always tell what they were doing.

For Shannon, the thought of losing her accent or any piece of her that made her irish was rather like losing little bits of her soul. She didn't intend on losing the marks of her Irish blood anytime soon and took a sense of pride in the fact that her heritage was so readily evident here. It was a small bit of home in a place that in a rare moment of brutal honesty, Shannon could admit felt uncomfortably foreign at times. "Well then, ye caught me. I am...fresh off the boat as they say."
She looked down at the water again and then back over at him, a saucy smile crawling across her lips as she crossed her arms over her chest again. "Ach well laddie, it's good I'm no longer alone then, aye?" Shannon had a habit of playing with fire, even when she knew that she shouldn't. The truth was that she didn't know a thing about this man, not even his name, and strangers who approached you on a bridge at night in a city you didn't know weren't exactly to be trusted, this she knew.

Scar's smirk twitched a bit and he took a step forward placing an arm on each side of her against the railing, boxing her in. "You may not be alone lass, but whatever gave you the thought you were safe?" His eyebrow raised a bit with the question and he prepared himself for an attack.
Okay so sometimes Scar just loved getting a rise out of people. Of making them feel like a caged animal causing them to attack. He liked the danger of it and he loved to intimidate others especially women. For some reason scaring girls gave him a real kick.

Oh bloody hell, Shannon thought to herself as the man boxed her in and his tone turned low and dangerous. The hairs on her arms raised and she forced herself to remain still and not give him a reaction, no doubt that was exactly what he was looking for. "Ach never said I was safe, merely that I wasn't alone," She conceded, shifting slightly but making herself relax.
If she kept calm there was still a chance that she could out of this with little more than a few bruises. The guy had been perfectly amiable, if not a little off, from the start and Shannon didn't think he wanted to kill her as much he just wanted to intimidate the hell out of her, which was partially working. Carefully, Shannon mentally went through her options, keeping her eyes on his, chin raised refusing to give him the satisfaction of lowering her gaze...plus it distracted him when she lifted her knee to shove it towards his groin.

Scar laughed as he felt her leg shift doing exactly what he expected any woman to do to get the better of a man. He changed his position quickly backing her further against the railing and shoving her legs to the side. "Tsk, tsk...try to be more creative." He gave her a wink before stepping back from her. "You should be more careful, lass, someone could easily take advantage of you."
Of course, he normally would be the one to take advantage of her but for some reason raping women had never appealed to him. He much preferred a willing woman in bed and then enjoying her face falling the next day when he threw her out on her ass. He was a bit vindictive that way.

Shannon huffed out a breath as he shifted her legs aside, pressing closer for an instant before retreating with a cheeky wink. Her mind had been racing, thinking up options and had been mentally prepared to do battle when he released her, derailing her thought process and causing her to watch him with carefully narrowed eyes. He'd put her on alert now, but she forced herself to ease a smile across her face, finding it came easier with his distance.
"Ach well aren't ye the gentleman then, laddie," She said finally, crossing her arms over her chest, an almost teasing tone to her voice though she was still on alert, lest he decide to make a move for her again it wouldn't do to give him the opportunity twice.

Scar shrugged, "Never claimed to be." Not once in his life. He knew he was the farthest thing froma gentleman and he loved the fact that nobody knew what he was going to say or how he was going to act. Where was the fun in consistancy? Taking a drag of his cigarette he studied her through masked eyes. "Just proving a point."
He knew she probably didn't appreciate the point he'd proven but maybe she'd think twice before coming out alone. Not that he cared honestly but it had been more fun for him than anything else. He had a sick perverted twisted mind and it entertained him when he let that side of himself have fun.

"Point proven," She conceded because it's not like she could deny that she wouldn't think twice before venturing out alone at night, though she was likely to do it again if taken with the notion of it. Shannon was rash by nature, she had a tendency to act and then think of the consequences, a personality trait that was engrained in her soul and she was helpless to resist. Shannon had a taste for adventure, it was just that she usually found some measure of trouble along with it.
"Ach, I should get back," She said finally, because standing in silence with this man hardly seemed like the best course of action after all that had transpired.

Scar nodded his head and took another step back, "By all means head back." He grinned and pulled a flask from his pocket enjoying a deep sip from it. He studied her still though, not saying another word. She was rather interesting he had to say. He could almost hear the words as they ran through her mind that she was warned for the time being but if the urge struck she wasn't going to fight it.

"Mmm..." Shannon made a noise in the back of her throat, reason said she probably shouldn't turn her back on the man who had threatened her. Logic said that if he was going to hurt her he'd have done it when he had the chance and would let her go at that. She was regaining her confidence and footing the longer they stood there and her smile this time was more geunine and full of her usual spirit.
"So I shall," She said, taking a step in the direction back towards Brooklyn, but turned and looked at him. "Perhaps we will meet again laddie, under...ligher circumstances."

[New Day]
David had stopped at precisely the center of the Brooklyn Bridge just as the sun reached the top of the sky, leaning back against the railing and casting his eyes in the direction of Brooklyn. He shifted his weight and tried not to think about the fact that he'd been looking forward to seeing her again since they had parted ways last night with a few nods and casual goodbyes. It was hard to believe that everything that had happened had, but if David's vivid memories were any indication, it had most definitely been real. Very real.
Lifting a hand he took his cap off his head and scrubbed his hand through his curls before replacing it, turning to look out over the water. She'd been at the back of his thoughts since he'd watch her slight frame walk away from him down the street just outside of Irving Hall. He hadn't breathed a word to anyone, a huge part of him wanting to treasure whatever it was that was happening but also instinctively knowing there were very few, if any, of his friends who would understand. Sighing, he continued to gaze out over the water, letting his thoughts wander.

Fighter approached the bridge, tucking her hair back and wishing she had something prettier to wear than an old shirt and some raggedy pants. It wasn't that she felt the need to impress Davey, she just wanted to feel more womanly. Which was a very odd experience for her because she'd never much cared one way or the other before. After they had left each other yesterday Fight had headed to the boxing ring but hadn't ended up staying there long because her mind was on something else.
She hadn't been able to stop thinking about him and what they'd shared in that abandoned warehouse the day before. She had, in fact, tossed and turned a good part of the night and now she was more excited to see him again then she'd been about anything in awhile. When she'd gotten back to the house she'd received a few strange looks because of the constant smile on her face but she'd quickly retired to her bunk. That's when she'd realized she'd completely forgotten about the drugs she'd purchased and tucked deep in her pocket the day before. She'd quickly hidden them in her mattress before anyone could see what she'd had.
A smile crossed her face when she saw him standing in the middle of the bridge and she quickened her pace. "Hey," She said as she approached. Coming to a stop a few feet away from him she tossed the cigarette that'd been in her hand over the rail and gave him another smile. She felt a bit awkward and unsure with her greeting but she couldn't exactly do what she wanted to do and kiss him. At least not here out in the open where any number of Conlon's birdies could see.

He looked up at the sound of her voice, tried to keep the smile that spread across his face from becoming a full on grin at the sight of her. "Hey," He replied, shoving his hands in his pocket to try and help curb the urge to reach over and push a few strands of dark hair out of her eyes. He knew that it was better if they kept whatever it was between them just to them, he liked it better than way anyhow...something special to be treasured.
"How's Gwennie?" He asked, trying to keep it casual as he glanced over at her and allowed himself to linger for just a tiny moment because he'd missed the sparkle in her eyes and the way her lips curved just so.

When the smile crossed his face her stomach tightened for a moment. He was so handsome when he smiled and when he tucked his hands in his pockets she smirked. She figured he was probably feeling the same way she was about not being able to touch each other in public. It was better that way. If they told people about their relationship it would just be a hassle. Besides she kind of liked keeping him a secret, it made it feel naughty in a way.
Fighter gave him a shrug, "Doing pretty good actually. She's still pretty young so hopefully it will all be a distant memory soon." Pushing her hair back, Fighter ducked her head and studied him from beneath her lashes. She didn't want to be to obvious about it. "How was your night?" She asked as she moved to lean against the rail next to him. She didn't feel like starting back to Brooklyn just this minute.

"I'm sure it will," David reassured her, and realized it was a conversation they had, had countless times yesterday but it helped to fill the space until he got his wits about himself at being in her presence again. She settled next to him against the railing, closer but not to close and he knew that was as close as they were going to get in public.
"Uh...my night was alright. Stopped in at Irving to see the few we have left over there...everyone seems to be doing well enough," He shot her a little half smile and was grateful for that at least, of all the ugliness it seemed that most appeared to be handling everything alright. "Then by the lodging house. Blink and Skitts were causing a stir, but that's nothing new." Blink had gotten shot in the arm and liked to remind people of that fact...often. David grinned because it was just one of Blink's little quirks and part of that big personality that frankly David wouldn't change. "What about you? How was the fight?"
