Hiccup chowed down on the last bits of his first slice. He swallowed and picked up the next, ripping of the end with his teeth. Hiccup chewed hungrily, savoring the bold flavor on every taste-bud he had. His eyes closed softly, loving the strong taste of the pizza. "I haven' had pizza in a long time!" he said between chews.

Magenta laughed, just finishing her first peice. Taking a small bite of the garlic bread, she took a sip of her milk to wash it down. "If I actually think about it, neither have I."

Hiccup gave a smile, killing the last slice. He licked his lips, getting the last bit of the crumbs from his pizza. "That was good!" he said, letting a soft sigh of relief escape from his mouth. Hiccup leaned back, blinking his wide eyes.

Magenta watched him with a smirk plastered on her face the whole time. This boy was funny! Chewing her last peice of bread, she took a sip of milk, finishing that as well. Smirking at him, she did the same thing as his actions.

HIccup watched her take in his motion. "Are you copying me? Phh, copier." he muttered sarcastically. Raising his hand, he ran his fingers once again through his hair, pushing it all back behind his head.

Magenta laughed a bit at his words. "Yeah, I do think I'm a copier. Pretty great too." With this, she raised her brows a few times with a smirk on her face.

<New Day>
Solitaire walked into the pizzeria, greeted by the enticing aroma of sauce and zeppoles. She took a deep breath, smiling softly, and took a seat near the window. She watched the people hurry past, so wrapped up in their business they didn't notice the nice day. She sighed and tapped her pack of cards against her palm. She was having a minor artist's setback -- she felt as though her paintings were coming out sluggish and poorly drawn. She hated when she sank into these periods; they made her feel so worthless.
But she was in this brand new city! A brand new place where people had no idea who she was, what she was. An unknown. A woman wandering aimlessly through the masses of people who called New York home. It felt good to be not known, unlike back home where everyone knew everyone else's names and business.
She sighed again and glanced down her hands. Slender, calloused from the brush and sketching pencil, blackened slightly from charcoal when her pencil was reduced to a nub. She glanced out the window again, as though expecting something.

Melody was getting very hungry. After meeting Lock, he thought he was very nice and Melody was glad that his sister was happy. Humming along, he brought his notepad and pencil with him while he walked to the pizza resteraunt for lunch. He didn't have a lot of money, but enough for a slice and some milk.
Grinning, he walked into the door and sat down at an empty table fit for two or more people. He plopped down and ordered his food, which came about a few minutes later. Melody was trying to right a song, but couldn't think of anything.

Solitaire looked up, startled, when the door opened. She saw a very familiar little boy walk in, get a slice of pizza and sit down at a table nearby. She chuckled softly. A waiter came over and she ordered a slice. She glanced over at the boy sitting at the table -- Melody, she recalled -- and it looked like he was trying to write a song. Boy, that kid should could be a performer some day! She opened her cards and began playing the game that she was famous for: solitaire.

Melody heard a faint tapping across the room from him, but it didn't bother him. The noise of the tapping, and the people talking, the dishes clanking, it all gave him a beat. Smiling, he started jabbing down lyrics, and then tested them out by humming them.

She heard him humming a beat and realized the boy was trying to write a song. She decided to leave him alone. Her pizza came, and she paid her penny somewhat grudgingly. Maybe coming here when she was somewhat short on money wasn't such a boss idea.

Grinning like a maniac, Melody handed the waiter his penny with enthusiasum. He finished writing his song, and so far, he already had five songs in his book. Taking his pizza, he took a big bite and began eating it. He was in heaven. He hadn't had pizza for the longest time, and he wrote a song, and get's pizza. Looking around the resteraunt, he finally noticed Solitaire. Melody smiled.

She grinned when Melody caught her eye. He seemed so joyful today, perhaps because he just wrote a song and had a good meal.
"Hello, Melody," she said kindly. "Nice too see you again."

"Hi Solitaire. It's nice to see you again too." Grinning some more, he took another bite of pizza. He was very happy, well, as happy as a twelve year old boy can get. "So, what have you been doing?"

"Oh, not much." She gestured to her cards. "Just playing a little game. It's called solitaire, like my name." She watched him eat his pizza happily, and wondered how many time he ever got to see pizza.
