Waltz felt a smile creep on to her face. "Yeah, I've been taking care of myself for a long time now. I'm a newsie. What about you?" She asked, oddly feeling much happier. She had sensed a great kindness about Peaches, and it wasn't everyday you made a friend.

"What about you?"
Peaches grinned, "I'm a singer at Medda's. I love it" Peaches loved to sing, ever since she was little. Her parents tried to have her take piano lessons as a girl, but she was never good at it; she just always ended up singing everything instead. Her brother Avery, always used to encourage her singing. They'd be out in the stables with the horses and Peaches would be singing, and there would be Avery laying in the hay listening.

"Really? I've only been there a couple times but that must be amazing. Don't ya ever get nervous?" Waltz asked, her eyes wide with curiosity. She could not sing for her life, and the few times she ever did, she was alone. Always a little on the shy side, Waltz never liked performing for anyone. She preferred to be in the audience, rather in the limelight. It was much more comfortable there. Besides, she liked feeling safe.

"Really? I've only been there a couple times but that must be amazing. Don't ya ever get nervous?"
"Oh, I love it!" Peaches smiled, "I love to sing so it's a great job, and I love meeting new people, and I'll admit it, I love being the center of attention. Growing up the only girl and the youngest, you kinda have to get used to it; I grew to love it." Peaches remembered her first time singing in front of people; She was 7 years old, and it was her mother's birthday, and she wanted to show off her only daughter so she was asked to sing for everyone. Peaches remembered how great it felt. She sighed, "What about you, Waltz? Do you sing or have anything special you love to do?"

[New Day]
Sarah lit a cigarette before turning and heading down the pier, here eyes on the few boats that dotted the horizon, her thoughts on the open plains of the West and the life she'd left behind. Most days she was happy here in the city, the bustling life in nearly every corner and excitement of the stage every night was a perfect fit for Sarah's taste of adventure and love of the spotlight. But sometimes she missed the land of her youth, she'd spent most of her life out West and there were times when the closed in feeling of all the buildings and people made her long for the wide open spaces and skies that went on forever.
She blew out a long thin stream of smoke as she walked, pulling her shawl a little more tightly around her. It was getting cooler now, no doubt winter was right around the corner and Sarah wondered if it would be as bitterly cold here as it could get there. The side of her mouth quirked up into a smile as she considered the fact that she was about to find out and as far as she was concerned, that was part of the adventure. She always did love a good adventure.

Killian tucked his hands in his pockets as he walked along the pier. He had sold some papers earlier and then decided to go for a walk, he enjoyed the peace of walking the city. It was hard to find peace in a building full of men. Even if it was quieter than he supposed it normally was because of recent events he'd heard of. He had seen the solemn faces and just decided he didn't need to see them again today and opted instead to spend time throughout the city. Glancing out at the shoreline, an odd look came across his face it wasn't one people would see often, he actually looked calm and relaxed. He'd always enjoyed being close to the sea it reminded him of good times.
Returning his gaze toward the path he was walking his eyes landed on a familiar figured. A smirk crossed his face as Killian picked up his pace. Normally when he saw a familiar female face he would head in the opposite direction in a hurry but she was a different story altogether. He didn't say anything as he approached after all he wasn't the type to call out a greeting. Stepping closer than was probably proper he gave her a charming smile, but remained silent waiting for her reaction.

She nearly smacked into him, the way he snuck up on her and her thoughts nearly in the clouds, and she had to reach out a hand to steady herself on his shoulder, prepared for the automatic apologies offered to a stranger. But then her eyes lit on his and a slow smile spread across her face as recognition danced into her eyes, though she was certain she'd know him now simply by the feel of him beneath her hand. "Killian," She said, tilting her head as she took another drag off her cigarette and considered him for a moment before pulling back and stepping away.
"Can't say that I thought I'd be seeing you out here," She said, pushing a few strands of dark hair out of her eyes. Or ever again, if she was being honest with herself. Men like Killian weren't the sort that necessarily stuck around or made a point of saying hello. "Taking a break?"

Killian smirked at her words, "Well I tend to walk between the boroughs from time to time." He could tell she was surprised in general by seeing him, he was surprised with himself that he'd approached her. It wasn't his usual manner but Sarah was enticing and he couldn't resist at least a small talk with her even if that wasn't his forte. He shrugged at her question, "Something like that."
Studying her for a moment, his eyes twinkling and a devilish grin on his face he crossed his arms. "And are you taking a break?" He carefully looked her up and down taking in her appearance, trying to determine if she was any worse for the wear but deciding that she looked as stunning now as she had the night before and that was something Killian could definately appreciate. He loved beautiful women almost as much as he knew they loved him.

"From time to time they let me out," Sarah joked, a slow smile stretching across her face as she caught sight of Killian looking her over. Seems she wasn't the only one revisiting memories of the night before and enjoying them, from the look on his face. Her green eyes danced for a moment as she allowed her eyes their own exploration from his handsome face and over his broad shoulders and lower. Oh yes, she did remember the night before...every bit of it.
"Just getting some fresh air," Sarah explained finally, finishing off her cigarette and tossing it to the ground, a breeze blowing off the water sending her hair dancing around her face. "I have a couple hours until the show starts for tonight and it doesn't do much for my temperament to be locked away in the theater all day." She took a deep breath and smiled over at him, before walking a few steps away and glancing out across the water. "And this is one of the few places in the city that affords a bit of fresh air without buildings closing in around you."

Killian chuckled slightly at her words, "Here I figured they kept you chained beneath the stage during the day." He smirked as he realized where her gaze was going and couldn't help the arrogant jerk of his chin. Killian knew he appealed to women and he knew he had left the same impression on her that she had left on him. It was one of the only reasons he had engaged her in conversation. Most women bored him after a night but she still held an allure.
"I would imagine not." He hadn't really heard what she was saying but he was good at pretending. His mind was too focused on another aspect of her to really understand what she was saying. When she spoke again his eyes traveled towards her lips and he grinned. "Everyone needs a bit of fresh air."

"That they do," Sarah agreed, wrapping her arms and shawl a little tighter around her as a breeze blew in off the water with just a bit of a chill to it. She allowed silence to lapse, watching him out of the corner of her eye and in the light of day and with a clear mind she found she was rather curious about Killian. But she knew better than to pry or ask questions she likely was not to get an honest answer too, the last thing they had exchanged last night were personal details about themselves and neither seemed inclined to do that now.
And yet...he had approached her as he saw her standing on the pier, a move that had surprised her because she knew how these things typically played out and it was generally to her liking as well. But she couldn't deny that she was pleased to see him again, having found something of a kindred spirit in a way the night before, even now the silence between them seemed comfortable.
"So what have you done with your day so far?" She asked finally, lifting a hand to tuck a few strands of hair behind her ear as she turned to look at him.

Killian enjoyed the fact that Sarah was a woman of few words because it suited him more than fine. He wasn't keen on talking about much of anything other than exchanging pleasantries. If someone wanted a conversation they weren't likely to come to him, he usually just stared blankly at people when they tried to strike one up with him. Killian wasn't social and the only time he pretended to be was when he was chatting up some girl he planned on taking to his bed. And usually he wouldn't approach them again, it was just the way he was.
At the sound of her question he gazed over at her, he eyes once again traveling to those full lips a slight smile playing at his own. "Sold some papers, went for a walk..." He shrugged a bit because honestly he hadn't done much. The papers he hadn't felt like selling he'd dumped in the trash before taking off to walk around. He honestly did not want to be selling stupid papers, he was too old for this nonsense. He'd much rather be doing what he was best at but he'd have to settle for selling for now.
"And yourself? Been walking around long?"

"I had a late breakfast," Sarah said with a smirk, pulling out another cigarette and lighting it as she watched him, amused because he was the precisely the reason for that late breakfast and they both knew it. "Then chatted with a few of the girls before heading out, I haven't been out long." She shrugged, shawl slipping down off her shoulder and she pulled it back into place around her before turning to face him.
"And what about the rest of your day?" She walked over to the edge of the pier and leaned against one of the large wooden posts looking back over to Killian with a playful smile on her face. "Any grand adventures planned?" Sarah dropped her eyes from him and looked out over the water instead, thinking that if the weather is warmer perhaps she could ahve gone for a swim...maybe Killian would have joined her.

"Sounds like a day of relaxation to me." He smirked slightly before glancing around at the people walking by them. "No firm plans, not yet at least."
A smile crossed his face and he shook his head slightly, "No adventures. Just walking around for awhile before heading back to the Bronx." He turned his attention back to her face, his eyebrow lifting just slightly. If she wanted him to stop by Caprice he could easily change his plans to include a night showering his attention on this gorgeous woman.

Sarah smiled back at him, leaning against the post and watching him for a moment tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "You could always stop in and see a show," She suggested, amusement dancing in her eyes as she looked away from him to look out over the water again. "Never know...might find some adventure there."
She knew that if he did come by Caprice, their time would be well spent, as it had before. Sarah wasn't the type to beg and if he found something else to do her ego would hardly be bruised but another night with Killian did hold an awful lot of appeal. The attention of a handsome man was something that Sarah thoroughly enjoyed and if the time they spent together before was any indication, Killian enjoyed such attention from a beautiful woman.
