Hi. If any of you are over 18 and are registered to vote, I urge you to do so tomorrow! People complain that young people don't vote...prove them wrong! Sure its mid term elections, but they are still important. No matter what you are: democrat, republican, independent... VOTE (but if you are voting against republican's...vote more But seriously. Everyone who can, vote. It's our civil duty. And you cant complain if you have taken part in the process.

I heard a girl at school today, and I quote, "I don't vote."

Well, I'm 22, so this is my...ooo...3rd election to vote in? I'm a liberal. I vote as an independent, but in my history I've voted for all democrats. There are a few republicans I respect (Rep. Snow in Maine is one) so I'm not totally anti republican.
Hey...we are all allowed our views, no? ^_^

lol, I'm glad you're not anti-republican. I don't get the rage some people seem to get toward the opposite group.
I mean, it's not like I think democrats are wrong, insane, or stupid. I just have a different opinion. I'm glad everyone here is so civil. I was on a LOST board earlier where people were bouncing off the walls with insults to eachother. (such as [insert political party] is wrong, insane, or stupid) -_-

Yeah, I helped my brother vote My dad's a hard-core conservative... but I don't really care... I just look at what they want... but I do know I'm for more republican things... It's ended up I either don't care or endup agreeing with republicans... which is why I say I'm republican. It's sometimes hard to be conservative in my school, because in Maryland, where I live just about everyone's democratic. Some jerk got on my nerves when he asked me my view on an issue, and I was for the democratic side... he seemed confused, and asked if I knew that's not a republican view, I nodded. He asked me if I actually did like anything republican's liked, and I shrugged, because I didn't want to get into it (I don't follow issues much, so I don't argue or voice things I don't know). He now acts annoyed with me because he thinks I'm only republican because I want to be different.

Heh. Luckily I go to a very liberal college where republicans are endangered species (seriously...we've had talks at school about if we descriminate against them)
But I went to a high school where I was one of like.....10 people who liberal. Seriously. We were a tiny number. And I have actually had stuff thrown on me when I wore my "Gore Gal" shirts me and my friends made back during that election time.

Yeah... it bothers me when people get mad at other's for their political view. What's worse, was a teacher started bashing Bush during the election... a teacher... in school... and every kid started talking with her... me being the only conservative. She said she was happy that there were no conservatives in her class, and I raised my hand and told her I was one. She looked so embarassed and yelled at the class for bashing Bush... it's was so annoying.
