Reeves reached out quickly to steady her boxes when she laughed.
He nodded, that amused smirk still on his sleek face and pushed up his gray cap.
"Yeah, ten hats." He thought about the price. "Probably about twenty bits per hat I would say, depends on how fancy the hat is," He guessed.
"No, I haven't been in any rich people's houses. I don't ask and they don't invite. All they do is take their hats and pay, nod stiffly and shut the door in my face mostly."
He listened to her story with wide eyes, and then smiled at her, thinking she must be a real daredevil.

Reeves stopped, "Oh this is one right here, let's just hope we get some kind of tip here," He sighed slightly tired, it had been a long day.
He managed a smile at Jade and knocked on the door, finding the ten hat boxes that belonged to Mrs. Gladys Pennington. She opened the door, she was an interesting lady, she wasn't skinny, or really graceful, but her dress was really elegant. Unlike the rest of the people on the street, she smiled as if it were the carnival at her door.
"Children! Welcome! Oh you brought my hats deary?" She beamed down at Reeves.
Reeves nodded and stepped forward, balancing his five hats in his hands. Jade held the other five.
"Here, why don't you just bring them on in here?" She gestured for the two children to come in. Reeves gave Jade a completely surprised look, and complied to Mrs. Pennington's order.

Jade gaped at the lady, but took off her hat and followed reeves and her in. "Damn."Jade whispered to herself so only reeves could here,she reluctantly stuck her cigarette in her pocket and noticed that she doesn't pick the right times to want a smoke. Jade noticed reeves looking around with an astonished look on his face,'this house looks really famili-'
THIS house was the one she crashed!Jade sighed because she looked different,but still jade kept closae to the door just in case in she would have to cheese it.

Jade laughed to herself'she not gonna reconized me!" and quickly strolled after reeves,her hands started lightly shaking and jade had to rebalance her boxes.'the hands of a former pickpocket.'she mused to herself.

Reeves focused on his job, unloading the boxes. When they had finished, Mrs. Pennington paid Seth accordingly, but also slipped two dollars into his hand.
"Give one to your little lady friend here," Mrs. Peddington told him. Reeves smiled and thanked her and signaled for Jade that it was time to go. They left the house empty handed.
"Well, that's all of them," Reeves breathed with relief, handing her her dollar.

Reeves watched her and a grin spread across his face at the excitement of his new friend.
"So what do ya wanna do?"
"I dunno, what do you wanna do?" He replied smirking and poking her slightly, a grin on his face, wanting her to decide. He hated making decisions.

He dodged her hat and she said, ""well lets walk around until we think about it.

Jade Bowed "What eva you'se say mista!" she started walking side by side,she quickly whipped off her hat and lightly swatted at him.she took a cigarette out and struck at match and took at long drag.
"I'se been waitin to have dis."
She twirled and accidently dropped the cigarette but quickly grabbed it up."Da hoity toitys give me da chills, but da last broad was decent."

But we think of them as the cause of all our pain, being horrible people, we think just as much bad about them as they think of bad of us..."
Reeves walked side by side with her, thinking about it.

I whipped out my knife and broke the string that was holding my hair up,my dark brown hair fell around my back and I gave it a shake."Do you'se an yoar sista,git along,I'se got along wit me brotha,but he was too tiny to know my personality.he thought,Jade+Him+good u know?" No matta what they do,you love 'em anyway,even if at da time you'se are mad at 'em."Jade smiled and looked around."Manhattan is nice."
