Poet snuggled her head under his chin and clung to him still,"I could ask you the same thing hun,"she whispered. She kissed his neck and pulled back coughing in her hand. She looked in his eyes and smiled half heartedly as she shivered again. She looked up toward the stars and wondered what life would be like without problems, with someone to love, with no worries. She rested one hand on his chest and clenched her hand around the fabric of his shirt slightly,"you should stay wit meh for awhile if ya can..."she whispered.(Sorry its short writers block)

Toby smiled, even though Poet couldn't see it, and basked in the warmth of the girl against him. "Of course." He carried her as he walked along the empty streets, taking care to not jostle her so as to not upset her stomach any more than it already was. When he reached Tibby's, he gently set her down on the ground just outside the door while he ran inside to get them some food. Then he returned with some sandwiches wrapped up to go, handed them to Poet before he picked her back up, and carried her to the Manhattan Lodging House...
