<<new day>>
Flanna pulled herself into one of the chairs, handing Caleb a menu, looking out at the window. "Good food, cheap if you need it to be..or expensive, if you're paying." She grinned, finally allowing herself to get a good look at her friend. He was older, a bit more weathered. Wiser. But still very much the Caleb she knew at 7. Though he'd never admit it.

He was and he wouldn't admit it, he was world warn on wary from the life he had chosen but he didn't say a lot about that either. He smirked, "I am payin' so get what you want already, Irish. So aside from Razor being a bastard and this incident hows New York been?" The other kids he'd seen around and gotten involved with. It didn't always mean they knew eachother-- no, the guild operated on a secret level back in those days. Unless they were a team they generally didn't get to knowing one another.

"Quiet. Nothing much.." Flanna shrugged, smiling slightly. "I have a few good friends here..things have been going well. No real famine...prices are rising a bit, but nothing I can't handle." She looked over the menu, rubbing on her stub.

He smirked a bit, prices rising huh.. that made things more interesting for him. He leaned back and tapped his fingers on the table as he thought about it. "You made friends here, Irish? You always had a friendly way about you-- made people forget that you could gut them if they weren't careful.." People forgot that Flanna was a lot tougher then they ever gave her credit for.

Flanna shook her head. "Aye, aye. You always thinking about that side..but I think I've been right nice lately. Not so violent." She shrugged. "The whole..incident..put me out of sorts for a long time."

"Mind telling me about it?" he lifted a brow, might as well hear about it now. He worried about Flanna sure but she could take care of herself. He just wanted to know- and to be honest he was proud of her for growing up. She had grown up, he could see it now watching her.

"...worked for the Raconteurs after you left. Got out. Kept out. I got brought back in.." She looked down, shrugging. "Razor screwed up, I got caught pickpocketing..he hit me.." She flinched. "...one of the took payment."

His jaw locked well it was the Racs, but he hated Razor on principle. "Razor hit you?" If he'd been around, well, Caleb would have killed him.

Flanna shrugged. "It was part of the plan." She smiled. "I had gotten..reclaimed. IT was...it was a mess, and it wasn't my finest moment. I'll admit, I wish you had been here."

"So do I," he muttered rubbing the back of his neck. He might have been able to do something about it. "Even as part of a plan, Flanna--" He'd still break Razor in half-- he hated him anyway. "Not your best plan, Irish. Sounds like one hell of a mess with the Racs..."

"It wasn't my plan. I had no plan." She turned red. "They broke me, Caleb." She was embarassed to admit it.

"Sounds like," he muttered and a part of him didn't like it. "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, Irish. Your still sitting here, they didn't beat you.." Part of who's plan? Good god that sounded like a hell of a mess, he'd need information. And he knew what double talking Czech to look for.

Flanna snorted. "Aye aye. I could always blame your ass for leaving, couldn't I?" She smirked, nudging him under the table.

But there she was-- "Your still Irish fire, Flanna. You could blame me if you wanted I wouldn't argue to much I guess.. and you love me to much to blame me for that mess right?"

"I do love you, Caleb." Flanna rolled her eyes. "It just got a lot more complicated for me. You see things as what they were, and that people don't change, that they can't leave the business. Well I can assure you that the Raconteurs, if they find me, will drag me back, and then I'm done for." She hit her fist on the table slightly, pointing her finger at him. "So excuse me for not seeing everything in black and white anymore."
