Singer had been pointed toward Jack's room in order to get proper introduction and a bunk placement. She sighed as she walked in and saw 4 people, looks like she wasn't the only one new around here and it seemed like they were dealing with helping the other new girl out. She stood in the doorway and leaned against the doorframe,"uh...excuse me...?" she said loud enough to be noticed,"I'm lookin' fer Jack Kelly..."she added.

Singer sighed as she knocked on Jack's door, she had been pointed in his direction to get a bunk assignment and she figured he could help if she had any questions. She leaned against the doorframe and waited for an answer hoping he was in.

Jack came up the stairs behind Singer, having just finished selling papers. "CAn I help you?" He pushed his hat off his head, leaning on the door frame.

New Day
It had been a long time since she last saw him. After the strike things had fizzled out between the two of them. Nevertheless, Sarah still considered Jack a valuable friend, a thing she didn't have in huge supply. She gently knocked on the door to his room patiently waiting for a reply.

Jack had been reading the paper, casually looking for other jobs when he heard a knock at his door. Opening it up, he smiled as he saw his old friend, and ex girlfriend, Sarah. "Well look what the cat dragged in.."

Sarah smiled, happy that Jack had achieved his dreams of going out West.
"Really? I'm glad you liked it." She paused before continuing, "Is the sun really any different? I heard you could see it better," she smiled. "Like the sunsets and rises are so close you can almost touch them."

Jack raised an eyebrow when he heard the small girl address them. "I'm Jack Kelly..you're free to stay here, as long as you pay the rent..and we're all newsies--butcha gotta apply with the news company. I aint got control of that stuff--I can just give ya a place to stay..." He paused. "You're name?"
