Perry positively beamed with excitement, "I know, Dodgers so great he's teaching me to sell and everything." He was pretty much Perry's idol at this point in time because of the hat trick that Dodger had shown him. He looked up at his sister, "Did you hear what he said? He thinks I'm going to be just like Dodger! That's so great, I can't wait to tell Dodger!"

Lexi smiled and nodded, she had yet to meet the leader that Perry had become so enthused with but she was anxiously awaiting it. It wasn't often that people friended Perry because they tended to get annoyed quickly. She really was beginning to feel at home here and loving it a lot more than Jersey City. "That's wonderful, Perr."

"Haha, that's good kid. " He smiled. "Teachin' ya ta sell huh? That's good."
"That's wonderful, Perr."
At the sound of Lexi's voice, Fire looked up. He had forgotten she was there. He then smiled to acknowledge her comment.

Perry nodded enthusiasticly, "It really is wonderful. We aren't really selling papes but he's showing me how to for when the price goes down. We can't really buy papes now because they're to spensive and we won't be able to eat." At leas that was what he had overheard from Lexi and Reid. Lexi gave him a surprised look but he didn't notice. "I love to sell though. When we lived where we did I used to go with Lexi all the time. People would be sad for us and they would buy our papes. They thought that Lexi was my mum and not my sister. That was what they were sposed to think. I think they are odd, they always frowned at me. I didn't like that. Do people do that here to?"

Fire felt bad for the kid and his sister, but he was going through the same thing. He bent down on his knees and put his hand on the boys shoulder, "Yeah, people do dat heah to. Dey feel bad foah us 'cause dey got money, and we don't. But don't worry, everythin' will turn out just fine." He smiled at Perry, then looked at Lexi with a sad smile.

When Lexi gave him a shrug Perry smiled, "It's alright, we don't mind it. That's how we earn money. Lexi said it's a good thing that they think that way because it's the reason we can eat." To Perry the world was simple enough that all he cared about was making his sister proud and being fed and having a bed at night. Other than that he didn't think beyond the world he lived in.

Fire smiled and ruffled the kid's hair. "Yoah a good kid ya know dat?" He was starting to really love this kid. He was energetic and he seemed like he was always happy.

"Thanks," Perry said with a wide smile, he loved getting attention from other people and having them tell him things like that. "You know this place is so nice, it's got a beach and all. I like the island it's like a pirate island, don't you think? Me and Lexi are going treasure hunting if you want to come." He looked up at Lexi to make sure it was okay and she just nodded with a small smile. "Not that you have to but if you want to you can." Perry loved adventures and that's what his sister had promised him today.

Fire thought for a second to see if he had something to do with Dot or Dragon, but he didn't. "That's perfectly fine for me, only if it's okay with you though." He smiled.

Perry grinned and clapped his hands, "Oh it's going to be so much fun." He pulled an old piece of newspaper out that had been colored over with chalk and showed it to Firecracker. "This is the treasure map Lexi made, I can't figure it out though. Maybe you can. I'm okay at this stuff but I love playing treasure hunt. Have you ever played it before?" Suddenly a look of recognition passed over his eyes and he grabbed both Lexi and Firecrackers hands and started pulling in one direction. "This way! I think it's this way!" Lexi just laughed and let herself be led by her rambunctious brother.

Patches looked at Lexi, Perry, and Firecracker as they walked away, it always seemed that when she made a new friend that someone would kind of take them away from her, thats why she only has her sisters as her friend. Paches looked at the ground, the ground wasn't grass or gravel of stone like other parts of New York it was sand well...of corse it was sand, she was st a beach after all.

Scar walked along the beach enjoying the sun shining down on his face, today was one of his rare days off and he loved spending time by himself. He usually didn't stray this far from Brooklyn but his thoughts had him walking and he'd ended up here without even thinking about it. For some reason he couldn't get his mind off of Heather Eastman. He should know better than to find an Eastman intriguing but he couldn't help himself. She seemed different than her father especially considering she couldn't stand him. But something about her drew him in, she seemed to exhibit many charecteristics that weren't common in women in this city. He hadn't been this intrigued by a woman since Aisla. Aisla....that little bitch, running around with all those newsies. She'd get what was coming to her, he was just biding his time right now.

Patches herd someone walking behind her, Patches turned around to see a man, he seemed a lot taller to her well.. Patches is a very short person so mostly every one is tall to her.
Patches looked at the man a little bit more, she noticed that he had black hair, and blue eyes. Patches smirked at him as if she was hiding something from him, but she had nothing to hide sense she just met him.

Heather had been sunning herself, her legs bare up to her knees, her shoes and stockings slightly behind her, her skirts pulled up as not to get wet. The water felt good on her feet, considering how muggy it was outside. She was pretty sure her hair was curling much more than she wanted it to, but it was at least cooler here than in the lodging house. She had been ignoring the girl around her; she wasn't from Bronx or Brooklyn so therefore wasn't really worth her time. Hearing someone else approaching, she turned, groaning inwardly when she saw that it was Scar. She had to have some magnent that drew trouble to her; she certainly hadn't seeked it out this time.
