Mark kept looking at her, and kept asking questions. "Well, uh...do you like anyone? Or have an attraction to anyone?"

[perch]

Perch thought she saw a cloud that looked that guy who owned a resteraunt in midtown and then she shook her head wondering what the heck was wrong with her. "huh?" she asked as she missed his questions but then they registered five seconds later so she didnt bother to wait for him to repeat them. "oh" she said and looked at him. "i'm not sure..." she said honestly. "i have people problems too."

His eyes widened. "Really? Why wouldn't someone like you?" When he heard what he just said, he coughed and blushed, "I-uh, I mean..yeah.." Looking up at the sky, he saw a heart shaped cloud, and wondered if Perch saw it as well.

[perch]

Perch turned her head to look at him. "Not other peoples problems like being jerks to nice people, me problems." she said quietly. "My mom left when i was little and my dad died six or so years ago and i loved them both very much. To be honest, im usually afraid of people who say more words to me than the amount of words it takes to start a fist fight. They all leave" she said looking back up at the clouds noticeing a funny looking mishapen cloud though it looked like it could be a heart....

He frowned slightly. "Oh, I'm sorry. You didn't need to tell me that if you didn't want to you know. But, you can tell me whatever you want." Mark said with a very small smile on his lips. "Uh..sorry for all the questions, but do you think you might have a slight attraction to anyone?" Mark really wanted to know if she did. But he wasn't so sure why. He knows he's is being quite pushy, but he was starting to really like Perch.

Perch sighed when he asked her again. Couldn't he just be happy with her non-descript, completely vague answer? She thought about it and realized that she probably wouldn't have been satisfied with an 'i'm not sure' either. "i suppose." she said quietly. "but like i said, they all leave anyway so" her words trickled off and she just shrugged.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He turned his head slightly away from Perch and back up to the sky. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes to relax.

Perch glanced at mark and saw that he'd closed his eyes. She took the opportunity to study his face. She was quiet for a moment and then decided she might as well ask, "What about you?".

Mark smiled, but his eyes were still closed. He opened them to answer than closed them again. "Nope. Don't have anyone either."

[perch]

Perchs mind was wandering and she supposed that she was reading into things too much. she had thought maybe for a second that there had been reason behind his asking but now she shook of that thought. "Well we've established that you dont have anyone already" she said teasing him a little about his 'looking for a wife' adventures.

He poked open one eye and glared at her playfully. "Haha. Same with you, isn't it?" He had a sparkle in his dark brown eye.

[perch]

"yeah" she said smiling. "what i meant was that we alreayd know that you dont have anyone, but do you like someone?" The hand farthest away from mark started playing with the sand gently.

He had both eyes open at this comment, and they both were sparkling that dark brown shade. "Maybe...yes, fine I do. What's it to you?" Mark had a huge goofy grin on his face.

[perch]

Perch laughed, the goofy grin on his face was just to funny. "i was just curious," she said, "then again, curiosity did kill the cat..." She raised her eyebrows, "oops, guess im done for huh?"

His mouth dropped open. "Don't say that! I know your joking, but jesus." He shook his head with a small smirk on his face. "Do you like someone?"
