Mark was very confused as she walked away. Laying back down, he looked up at the sky in a questioning way, as if asking why.

((New Day))
Prince hadn't been around Brooklyn in a while. She figured it was high time to make a return visit, and here she was, wandering around the docks, right on the shore, as though she had lived there all her life. She remembered when she used to get lost in Brooklyn! That was years ago now. Now she knew her way better around than a carriage driver, almost. She looked out into the water, which was half frozen at this point, considering the temperature. She took a deep breath and sighed ever so slightly. It seemed as though her life and this moment would never end. That she'd stay the way she was, forever. And that was all there would be to it. Though she knew it wasn't true, it felt that way.

8chips carried her shoes in one hand, and her papes in the other, wriggling her toes around in the damp sand. She loves the feel of sand, all soft and smooth. She looked out to sea and thought a storm was coming. A tiny fishing boat tossed far out in the distance. 8chips loved the sea, but even more, she loved storms. A sudden gust of wind knocked her hat right off her head. She ran after it, leaving her shoes and papers behind. She groaned as it blew into the water. Relucnlty rolled up her pants and went in after it.She grabbed it, wrung it out, and put it back on her head. 8chips squinted for she saw saw about a dozen sheets of paper blowing about the shore. It took her a second to catch on. "My papes!" she yelled as she frantically chased as many as she could, grabbing them before they could blow into the sea. They were dirty, wrinkled and wet. No one would buy them now. She saw someone standing, watching her make a fool of herself. "Whatca' stairin at?" she snapped out of embarrassment.

"Nothin'," Prince said shaking her head. In all honesty she hadn't been paying much attention. She heard someone screaming about their papers, but by the time she turned to look the girl was already holding several soggy and dirty papers that no one would want to buy. "I didn't mean ta offend," Prince said in her low voice. When out in public Prince pretended to be a boy. It was a fool proof disguise that hadn't failed her yet, so to this girl she would appear to be a young boy. "Is there anythin' I can do ta help ya?" she asked trying to be nice.

8chips sighed. "No, not really." She let the rest of her papers blow away into the wind. "Listen, uh, sorry I snapped, um, my names 8chips." she slowly extended a hand politely. 8chips licked her chapped lips and sighed. "Well, there goes a day's profit." she shook her head slowly while motioning to the papes all scattered about in the sea. "Nothin I can do now." she forced a little laugh. The wind almost took her hat again and she put a hand on her head to stop it.

Prince took her hand and shook it. "It's alright," she said shaking 8chips hand. "Look if ya need a few cents for dinner, or ta pay for ya lodgin' house or somethin I can loan ya a few cents. I mean... I dun like seein' kids sleepin' on the streets," she said. "Where do ya stay?" she knew the girl wasn't a Queens kid, but she didn't know where the girl was from. She was assumin' brooklyn, if she was sellin' there. "Watch it, don't wanna loose ya hat," she added.

Scar walked along the shore enjoying the peace and quiet of the day. It was one of his rare days off from both his jobs and he had woken up before the sun had even come up and made his way here. He liked to spend his mornings along the shoreline. It helped him think especially if he had a problem he was working out. And right now the biggest thing on his mind was the bastard he had seen at the blacksmith. The guy had gotten on his nerves in a way that most people didn't because if they did he'd kill them. Unfortunately at the time he'd been in front of an audience otherwise Scar probably would have tried to take him out. Although Scar would never admit it to himself the true reason he wanted to kill him was because of Fighter. He had seen her with him several times when he'd followed her.
Scar glanced around the shoreline, it still wasn't busy which was good because he was planning on leaving when it got busy. As Scar's glance scanned the area he saw the girl. She looked good looking enough from here that he decided to go strike up a conversation. Of course he had one thing on his mind and that was finding out just how kissable her lips were. He came to a stop at the very edge of the water, watching her quietly for a moment as she stood in the water. "Is that as enjoyable as it looks?" A smirk crossed his face as he waited for her to turn and look at him.

As Wendy turned to look at him he noticed that she was actually looking about a foot to her left and that is when he realized she was blind. Well that would certainly make things interesting. He'd never tried to bed a blind girl before and he loved a challenge. "It certainly looks nice." His gaze dropped to her behind and he swallowed a laugh thinking it was nice that he could peruse her assets and she had no idea.
