Golly was sullen again, watching her beat about the pastry. "Drama, don't worry, I'm not a cat." He sighed and scratched at his neck absently. He really didn't know what to think of her. Obviously something was lingering in her past - something she was not proud of, or something she was afraid of. Her last statement made his brow furrow. He couldn't imagine her being part of anything that upsetting - but that was probably because he was smitten. "I think I can handle it..."

"You think that now," Drama commented, still not looking up from her plate. If he knew the truth he wouldn't be so cavalier about it. Finally deciding she couldn't avoid him forever she turned her green eyes and studied his face for a long time. "Let's just say that in the not too distant past this...friendship...wouldn't have been possible."

He tilted his head curiously, trying to decipher the meaning of that. It could be a million things ranging from a relationship to jail time. "Well thats the past, this is now an' we can be ... friends..." His face suddenly became full of worry. "I hope your not holding back because I'm a cop..." He sighed and looked back at his plate - his occupation had killed more than one relationship in his life, so what was one more? It the sacrifice he made.

"No, Golly, it's not the cop thing," Drama insisted, for some reason wanting to reassure him that she wasn't writing him off. "It's...everything." She sighed and wrinkled her brow, wondering if she should even proceed with the discussion. There were certain things that simply remained better hidden. Buried and forgotten...if only she could forget. She wans't the sort of person who cared what others thought of her, if she did she wouldn't have made it as far as she had in life...but for some reason his opinion mattered a great deal. "Maybe it's better if we just left things in the past.." She said finally, frowning at her plate and the pastry she had yet to eat that was now in several pieces on the plate.

Golly sighed, a little relieved that it didn't seem to be just him, if he was even a factor. He wanted to just ask flat out, but she put that to rest with her final statement. She was done with it, for now, and his curiosity would just have to lay off until next time. He nodded and picked at a danish. "Alright, I won't push it, Drama." He smiled lightly, half-regretting that he brought it up ultimately bringing her down. "Whats done is done."

She looked up at him as he spoke, that smile playing on his face lighting up those handsome features. He had such kind eyes, good eyes, the sort that didn't need to be burdened with the likes of her, or her past. "Thank you, Golly," She said, giving him a genuine smile before finally picking up a piece of pastry and popping it into her mouth. She chewed in silence before grinning at him ,"So I haven't seen you around Caprice again, you ever going to come see me perform?"

His smile grew, glad the subject was veering to a more comfortable one. With a shrug he took a bite of the danish. "Who said i wanted to?" he joked, showing a little stripe of his teeth. "I would have seen you if ya didn't come bother me in the balcony..."

"Oh...so now I'm a bother?" Drama teased, picking up a piece of pastry and chucking it across the table at him, laughing when it hit him on the forehead. "You weren't paying attention to anything that was on stage anyhow. You probably would have left before I went on anyway."

Golly flinched when the flaky bit beamed him and bounced to the floor. He was dumbstruck for a moment then finally laughed. He leaned out of his chair to fetch the chunk from the floor. "Only because you were distractin' me! I was very attentive before you showed up!" He protested and threw the pastry at her. He only managed for it to get hung up in her hair. He had completely stepped out of his introverted box and for once was enjoying himself - Drama seemed to have that effect on him. He sat their smiling, his arms folded behind his head and teetering on the chairs two hind legs.

She liked his laugh...maybe because it was so rare but it caused her to laugh as well. She fished the pastry out of her hair and ran a few fingers through to get out the leftover flakes before grinning at him. "Well I guess next time I'll just leave you alone," She said, tossing the piece back at him and watching as it hit him square in the chest and rolled down to his lap. "Lonely, handsome men just happen to be a weakness of mine...I'll have to learn to control the impulse."

Golly stiffened his lip and brushed the crumbs from his lap. "Please do learn...us lonely men can't be pestered by teasing little vixens such as yourself" He grabbed the rest of his danish and flicked it at her like a frisbee. "Your so' childish.." he scolded keeping a stern face.

She ducked the pastry and watched as it crashed to the floor just beyond her chair. "I do not tease," Drama insisted, trying to sound stern but laughter spilled through. "I simply carry on a conversation." She picked up two more pieces of the pastry on her plate and tossed them both in his direction. "Maybe it's just that you are too adult."

Golly let out a yelp as the pastries flew toward him. He batted one out of the air and the other grazed his shoulder. He turned around to see them both sitting lifelessly on the floor. "Aye, I think your right.." he turned and looked at her, keeping his smile bay. He picked up the last remaining pastry, a cream puff, and held it threateningly in the air.

"Oh no you don't," Drama said, standing up and leaning across the table, grabbing hold of his wrist to prevent him from throwing it. "That thing is loaded and I'm not going to let you get away with that." She slowly circle her way around the table, still holding his wrist until she was standing in front of him. With a quick smile she grabbed the pastry out of his hand and pushed it into his face, laughing when some of the cream filling ended up on his nose.

"Hey! That ain't fair!" Golly protested wiping some of the cream filling from his face. He grabbed her arm so she couldn't flee and flung the cream at her face. "See what ya started, lass?! An' jus' look at my place..." He gestured to the remainders of pastry strewn about the floor. He tried to look angry, but that only lasted for a moment because they both looked ridiculous with pastry filling all over their muggs. He laughed and released her arm.
