Buck smiled, and held his arms out, beside her, to hold onto the reins. "Ok, this'll be nice." He brought Never up to a trot, not too bad. He kept it kinda slow so they could ease into a nice canter. Once he felt right with it, he gave a slight nudge and kick, and they were cantering. Not as fast as race horses normally do, but he wasn't going to push it at the moment. They cantered around, the strides long and fluid... gently rocking back and forth, the wind in their faces. Buck lowered his head down besides Jennifer's.

Jennifer....was just about in Heaven. She was glad he had taken it slow, because now she knew how to go with the horse, flowing with him instead of trying to control it. It wasn't right to control it. Horses were for running, for running free. To fly. She absently leaned back against Buck, and just laughed.

Buck listened, and could feel her laugh. He waas happy she was enjoying this. Never continued going, around the ring. Buck just sat up, letting Jennifer lean against him. He smiled, and as he turned really brought back the canter; making it nice and slow. He held this until they were at the top of the long side of the ring. Once there, he let Never go, and go fast.

"Woah." Jennifer breathed, her fingers gripping Never tightly as she watched the world fly past them. She didn't....she just didn't...understand why anyone would give this up for anything. Another thing she didn't realize...how much she was leaning on Buck. She wasn't short, but she wasn't too tall. She fit perfectly up against him.

Buck could feel her body against his. He smiled a bit when she gripped Never as they went faster, but he didn't stop him. WHen they came to the end of the long stretch, he brought Never back to a slow canter, then trot, then walk. "So, how was that?' He asked, not hiding the fact that he already knew what she would say.

"....Amazing." Her eyes were lit and she turned in her seat to look up at him. "Thank you." She leaned up and kissed his cheek softly before turning back to Never. "And thank you too." She laid a kiss to the horse's neck.

Buck's heart almost skipped a beat when she looked up at him. Then, when she kiss him, his eyes widened and a half smile stuck to his face. Even his cold eyes seemed to lighten for the first time. When she turned back and kissed Never, he smiled, "Oh, get a boy all happy, then you go for the horse." He said with a laugh. He walked Never around, petting the horse on the back.

Jennifer blushed a bit and looked back at him from under a sheen of hair. "Well, if it makes you feel any better." She leaned back and gave him another kiss, on the other side. "Better yet?" her lips turned up into a small smile.

Buck nodded, "Yes, thank you." He told her with a nod. He thought for a moment, "How about bareback?" He asked. They wouldn't have to canter, or even trot bareback, but it still felt pretty nice walking bareback. "It feels so great, to be able to feel the horse's muscles move under you." He told her.

Jennifer grinned and nodded. "I'd like that." She slid off of Never while he was still walking, hitting the ground easily. Laying a kiss on the horse's neck, she chuckled and gave in, curling her arms around Never and giving him a small hug.

Buck stopped Never after Jennifer hopped off. "You New Yorkers... always in a rush." He mocked. After sliding off he walked Never to the fence, and quickly untacked him. He placed the saddle on the fence and then looked at the horse's back. He climbed the fence and eased himself onto the horse's back. "Alright, now you." He said, keeping Never near the fence. This was a tall horse, about 16 hands... quite a beast, calm, yet a beast. Buck eased into his seat, making sure that the spine, although it didn't stick out too far, wasn't in a certain area guys wouldn't prefer.

Jennifer laughed and shook her head. "Only for things we enjoy. Other than that, we tend to lag." Watching him untack Never, she stood next to the fence. Well, this was going to be fun. Pulling herself up on the fence, she placed a hand on Never's back and pulled herself on as well. It was hard, because she wasn't used to it, but she managed.

Buck helped her a bit, wrapping his hand around her arm, and helping her on. He smiled as she managed; he was sure she could do it by herself... but it never hurt to give a helping hand. Once he was sure she was on, he walked Never around. "Feels nice... eh?" He asked, patting the horse.

"Almost makes you feel like you're running out west." Jennifer grinned back and up at him. "If you close your eyes, you can almost see it." She knew that for a fact. It was easy for her to see it, when she spent most of her life wanting to get out. Not out west particularly, but out where you weren't caged in. Like a bird.

Buck closed his eyes, and thought about home. "You have no idea..." He said quietly. He opened his eyes, a sense of sorrow flushed his face. He slowly drained it out and forced a smile. "The sight must match the feeling." He said, refering to her feeling like running. He leaned in close next to her. "Just close your eyes and grab the mane." He said, giving Never a nice kick. Never broke into a nice canter, stretching and flying, the way every horse should. Buck kept his arms around Jennifer to help keep her more secure. He could feel Never's body move beneith him, loving the feeling ever so much.
