Jennifer realized what she had said a second after she had already said it. Frowning slightly, she tipped her head back and reached up one hand to touch the side of his face. "I'm sorry." She murmurred softly. Nodding at his instructions she held on to Never's mane and closed her eyes, leaning back against Buck, trusting him to keep her on the horse. After a few seconds her lips parted in wonder and she smiled.

Buck let her lean against him, and held on to her. He let Never go around once, then slowed him down. He patted the horse and just sat for a moment. He thought about home, and just riding horses through the beautiful land.
"Well, you can cool him down." He said, trying to pull his mind back to New York. He gently pushed her off of him, and slid off of Never's back, the horse still walking. He wasn't trying to be rude, but he had to walk around... on his own legs. He walked, abesentmindedly, beside Never, patting him on the neck.

Jennifer walked Never around, leaning agains his neck, just watching him out of the corner of her eyes, biting at the bottom of her lip. She truly hadn't been thinking when she spoke, and she sighed, shaking her head. She had already said she was sorry. But... It wasn't something a 'sorry' could change, but she did wish he would look back up and smile at her. Turning her face into Never's mane she drew in a deep breath, eyes halfway closed.

Buck took a deep breath; he couldn't ruin a great day. He brought his mind to when they met, to them talking. A small smile creeped onto his face. Looking back, he reached behind Never's front leg. "He could go for a few more rounds at a walk to cool down." He told her. Sure, it wasn't the biggest smile... but Buck wasn't, exactally, known for his huge grins. "How was it?" he asked.

Jennifer grinned wryly back at him."You want me to answer that, good sir? I don't have the words." Chuckling softly she shook her hair from her face and looked out over New York. "You know..." She was hoping this wasn't going to mess things up again. "New York might be a city, but just outside 'Hattan is a place they haven't built on yet. It isn't your home, I know, but I'd like it if we rode out there one day. You know... When I'm sure I won't fall off and kill myself."

Buck smiled a little brighter, "Really?" He liked that. "That would be really nice, I'd like that a lot." He patted Never as he looked at her. She was amazing; how could he ever return the favor. Yeah, he let her ride, but giving him open space was one of the most amazing things he had ever gotten.

Jennifer sat up a little straighter, smiling back at him. "Me too." Chuckling, she brushed her hair behind her ear as she continued to walk Never around. She had been hoping that day would be soon. Might be... Might not. Depended on how long she could manage to not fall off a horse. "I was out there once. Its a nice place. You can't even tell there's a city just over the hill."

Buck watched her, her beautiful figure a top a beautiful horse. "You're beauti... It... that sounds beautiful." He stuttered through; going from a rocky transition of his thoughts to what she had just said. He walked up to Never, feeling his chest and behind his forelegs. "He's cool now, we can bring him back."

Jennifer looked over at him, blushing a bit before chuckling. "Thank you..." She watched him from the corner of her eye as she brought Never back. He wasn't the only one who could appreciate a person. And she was. Appreciating, that is.

((I'm so sorry, but my life has been hectic... I promise it will get better))
"You're welcome." He said, leading the horse away. (I'm just gonna do this pst here, instead of move back to the stalls). Buck led Never into his stall and felt his legs, "He's still pretty cool; he has good endurance." He told her. "I'd put money on him anyday." He said, thinking aloud. He turned back to her and smile, "Well... now what? We still got a whole day ahead of us... unless you're tired of me?" He said, eyes still focused on Never, instead of who he was talking to.

Jennifer laughed and shook her breath. "I doubt I could ever get tired of you." She was being honest, after all. She valued honesty, quite a lot. "But I dunno." She was off the horse, hands in her pockets. "I'm up for anything really..."
But she knew she didn't want to go home. Not yet.
((its okay hon. *big hug*))

Buck turned to her, "Well..." He walked towards her and reached out to grab her hands. "There's always..." Buck sighed and shrugged, "Alright, I don't know what there always is. How about dancing." He said, Starting to move around, feet keeping beat as he moved throughout the barn.

Jennifer, pleasantly suprised, laughed as she moved with him, holding to his hands. "Hey... With the kind of guy you are, why isn't there a Mrs. Buck following you around?" Jennifer had a habit of speaking what came into her mind, the moment it came into it. Sometimes without thinking. She was just curious.

Buck danced with her, moving kinda quickly but smoothly. "I left her at home." He said with a straight face. After a few seconds he grinned, "Truthfully, I never met a girl I really liked in Texas; you don't see many girls running around in cattle fields." He moved in a little closer as they danced. "I've never had anyone to dance with until now, so I figure I better dance with you before I forget."

Jennifer smiled a bit, keeping up with him, movements graceful on the floor. "Oh, why not?" She chuckled at the thought of herself in a cattle field, with no idea what she was doing but still have a grand time with it. Her eyes looked up at him as he moved in closer. "You said in Texas. Does that mean you like someone in New York?" Her lips quirked up into a smile. He was one hell of a dancer.
