Lanna let out a breath, brushing her hand threw her hair as she looked up at Mush, trying to catch her breath. She didn't mind running, he was right, he knew the streets better then she did. She shook her head and rested it against the wall, closing her eyes. "I don't think... Mon deiu...."

Mush, breathing hard himself after the long run from Brooklyn looked at her. "Umm.... huh?" he asked. He didn't speak french, and that was one statement he hadn't ever understood. He was just glad that they had gotten away from her brother without too much of a problem.

She looked at him and chuckled a bit, slowly getting her breath back, "Roughly translated? Oh dear.. " she chuckled and shook her head, breathing hard resting her head on the stone of wall. "I fell so guilty getting you involved, Chere..." she looked at him threw her lashes.

"Guilty? Why? I mean, I wanna help, no point in my not helping if I want to, so don't feel bad. Trust me..." he reassured her, now able to breathe normally again, but still run out from the long run.

"For some reason when you say that I believe you.." She straightened a bit and looked back at the street. "I need to think of a plan, you know. To solve this whole mess, I mean, can't run forever.. " She looked up at him and gave him a smile. "I'll come up with a plan, to fix it so that, well, I don't know.." she didn't really know how to remady the situation. "Oh, good greif, I wish my maman where here.. she'd know what to do.."

Mush smiled a little. She was cute in her dismay. "Look maybe... if I talk to your brothers. You know, with out you so they couldn't take you away. Maybe I could convince them to let you stay?" he suggested. It was all he had at the moment, though he wasn't sure if it was very good or not.

She blinked at him a few times, it was a fairly cute, dear in headlights look as she processed the new infromation. "You'd talk to my brothers? As far as I know, it's just Trevor... but Marshal wouldn't let Trevor come alone.. oh dear.. if they're all here.." She touched his arm and shook her head. "They might hurt you if you tried and I couldn't bear that.." Bayou boys, looking for their baby sister and one man standing in their way, he'd get pounded. She couldn't have that, she couldn't let Mush get hurt.

He figured... he was a New York boy, intent on keeping the girl he liked around as long as she wanted to be here. He'd do whatever he could. He wouldn't let her go where she didn't want. Wouldn't let her marry someone she didn't love, and barely knew. He simply would not allow it.

She bit her lip as she thought about this, she looked up at him and smiled softly. "I couldn't stop you even if I tried too. You'd go no matter what I said.." She looked down at her shoes, they were nice shoes. She looked back up at him and gave him a smile. "Okay, Mush. If that's what you think you need to do.." she nodded a bit.

Alanna watched him a long moment before she spoke. "Okay, I wont stop you, just promise me you'll be carefull. My brothers, they're, well, a big lot. I don't want you to get hurt by them.. " Because then she'd have to have some of her own words with her brothers. As she showed everyone just how angry she could get. "But I'm coming too... I'll help you. Maybe, they'll listen if they understand.."

She slid her hand into his and shook it with a nod, she smiled, she coudln't remember the last time that she felt so safe and happy. After all, Mush wanted her to be happy and live the life she wanted. She wanted the same for him. "Deal.." she said.

He nodded and pulled her hand closer to him and kissed the back of her hand with a charming smile. "Good," he said. He kept hold of her hand and stepped closer to her kissing her cheek. "So you say when, be it today... now... or some other time and we'll go see if we can find 'em."
