((New Day))
Mollie was out and about again, roaming and trying to find a good mark. She spotted a dollar bill, a real treat... the kind of mark she only got once in a blue moon, sticking out of a man's pocket. She bumped him, slipping the dollar out with one hand. "Pardon me..." She said with a smile. She disappearred back into the crowd, looking for some other person who might have a pocketwatch or something to nab.. Or just a friendly face to talk to for a bit.

Innocence wandered down the streets she was still getting used to her surroundings. It took her a while that all she had to say. She started skipping down the street at least she still knew she was in the same place. She swung Beary lightly at her side as she skipped.

Clarence was on patrol when he saw a young girl skipping around. He couldn't see any adults near her either. Neglective parents, he couldn't stand them.
As he got closer he realized it was Innocence. She wasn't supposed to be out by her self.
"Well hey there Innocence."

Innocence stopped skipping when she heard Clarence's voice. She looked up at him. "Hello." She smiled she's gotten over the fact that he had left her at the Queens lodgining house. Plus she knew that she could go see him anytime she wanted.

"Hey there kid, how are you. Is Beary ok?" He smiled at her and bent down to her height.
"Can i have a hug?" Clarence had actually missed the kid some. He hadn't been able to get by the lodging house to see her.

Innocence threw her arms around him on hand holding Beary. "He's okay." She giggled. "i meant so new people." That's all that had been going on while he wasn't with her. She smiled brightly but didn't let go of him.

He hugged her back squeezing and lifting her up.
"My goodness gracious your a heavy one."
He smiled as he tickled her.
"New friends huh, like who? Are they nice?"

Innocence nodded her head. "Skittery and a guy named Buck he's not from around here i think and Prince." She smiled her arms still wrapped around him. "How your lady. Beary and I have been wondering how she's doing. the baby here yet."

Clarence frowned a bit at the mention of their names. He knew they were newsies.
"Yup my lady is just fine, and nope the baby isn't here yet, but soon." I hope, he thought.
"Now, little miss Innocence, how come your out here all by yourself, hmm?"

"well no one was in the lodgin' house and i didn't want to stay inside all alone" She pouted and gave the puppy dog eyes. She held beary tightly now looking at Clarence on arm still around him.

"Well, your still only five. And those big puppy eyes don't work on me." He was going to take her back to the lodging house, but something made him change his mind.
"Now if I let you roam around you have to promise not to go off with scary or strange looking people. Ok?"

Innocence nodded her head. "Scary or strange looking.." She'd remember that, but she hadn't seen anyone strange or scary looking. She smiled at Clarence.

"Alright." He finally set her down.
"Now be on your way, ok? I have to get back to work." Clarence kissed the top of her head, something he hadn't done before.

Innocence looked at him for a moment then smiled. He daddy used to do that and so did her mommy but she pushed those thoughts away. "Thank you." She skipped off down the street.

Clarence went back to his patrol, it was almost time for his shift to be up. He was tired and he was stressed, he just wanted to go home. He headed towards the apartment, not far behind the skipping Innocence.
