((NEW DAY))
Skittery led Innocence into the bunkroom. He proceeded to take off his hat and jacket, throwing both onto the foot board of his bunk. As he ran a hand through his hair he started to talk. "Welcome to me home. Nothin' special.." He shrugged, the place was dingy but cozy, "but good enough for a newsie" He gave her a lopsided smile.

Innocence smiled and looked around the bunk room. She came to the edge of his bunk and sat down. "Its alright for what you have right?" She kinda half stated and half questioned. She was just starting to get used to things. She didn't know how long it would take for her to warm up to everything but she knew she would.

He nodded slowly then held up one finger signaling for her to wait. Skittery hurried across the room to Boot's bunk and crammed his hand into a hole in the mattress. A second later he smiled, finding what he was searching for, and pulled out a tattered paper bag. He rushed back over to Innocence and sat next to her. "Don't be tellin' anyone but here somethin' you'll like.." He pulled a few pieces of hard candy from the bag and held it out to her. "Boots ain't always da smartest...a bunch of us know 'es always got a stash to raid" He laughed amused by his thievery.

Innocence looked at the candy quizically. "Can you eat it?" She really didn't pay attention to the fact that Skittery had just taken form another person. She never really did she saw stealing happening where she had lived with her mother so that wasn't anything new to her.

Skittery looked at her curiously. What kid was confused by candy? "It's candy.." he pointed out as if it would explain everything to the naive little girl. He popped one in his own mouth to illustrate his point.

Innocence nodded. She took one of the candies and did the same thing. She smiled as the taste came into her mouth she liked it she liked it alot. She wondered why she'd never had anything like it before but she figured cause her mother couldn't get it. They barely had anything decent to eat she would hear her mom say that alot. She smiled at Skittery.

"Guess ya like it huh?" Skits smiled and handed a few more to her, "bettah put this back before Boots gets back.." He waved the little paper sac and marched back over to the same bunk he had visited moments earlier. After replacing the bag and joined Innocence on the bunk, this time flopping down on his belly and stretching out over the entire thing. He let out a sigh of relief, glad to give his back and feet a rest.

Innocence giggled a litte as she put the candy in a pocket she had found earlier. She wasn't used to the clothes she was wearing cause they had been given to her she liked them though. She let her feet dangle at the edge of Skittery's bed.

Skittery was beat. Withen a few moments he drifted off to sleep. Only the occasional snore and dripple of slobber escaped from his body.

Innocence watched him sleep before she curled up on the floor beside his bunk and fell asleep. She didn't want to at first but her eyes closed and she was off in dream world.

((New Day? Or shall I wake you up?))
Tumbler had somehow made his way up the stairs after his fight with Lucas. The walls seemed to be spinning around him and the back of his head hurt like nothing he'd ever felt before. He was so upset that nobody had worried about him, or noticed that he hadn't come back to the Lodging House until Lukas had offered to help him find his way from the Bronx.
He reached up towards the door knob, but couldn't seem to get a good enough grip to turn it. Instead, he knocked his fist onto the door and his pain finally took over. Tumbler tumbled to the floor, unconscious.

Jack was walking through the bunkrooms to get to the washroom when he saw Tumbler on the floor. Sighing, he kneeled next to the kid and slapped him on the cheek a bit. "Oi...Tumbler...Tumbler...wake up..."

Tumbler wasn't all that hurt, and woke up almost immediate after Jack came over to him. This was the first time that he noticed he was still damp from the rain, and that the small sniffle he had received earlier was making his throat feel blocked by phlegm.
He stared up at Jack, almost passively, not realizing at first that he was laying on the ground. He remembered his small fight, and then the reason for it. He had tried to leave Manhattan earlier. He would have succeeded, if he hadn't become afraid of the dark, rainy night and asked the older boy....Lukas....to help him find his way home. Then he had come back to the Lodging House to find nobody there waiting for him, worried about him.

Jack looked down at Tumbler, a puzzled look on his face. "...You okay kid?"

Tumbler shook his head violently, getting rid of his upset thoughts. No, he wasn't okay - he had just walked to the Bronx and back in the cold and rain - but didn't want to whine. That was, after all, what had gotten him into trouble in the first place.
"Yes," he tried, but sneezed out the word instead of letting it come out normally.
