She laughed and wrapped her arms around one of his, in a way only Alanna could manage. "I'd be sad if you thought that of me." she said with a bright smile. "No, I like you, though I dont' understand why you'd want to go with me at all." It was true, but Lanna rarely saw what Moira was always telling her. Alanna was the pretty one, but she couldnt' acknowledge what she couldnt' see in herself.

Trigger smiled at her touch and looked down into her beautiful face. "Well, I want to go with you for many reasons Lanna. A couple, for example: You're fun to be with, and you're so sweet." He of course would not focus on her looks, he wanted to make sure that she didn't think that was all it was about. He was really starting to like her more and more.

Lanna, happy that he hadn't said anything about her being pretty, smiled up at him, "Well, chere you are fun to be with too. I enjoy you're company, more so then most boys." It was an honest answer, Alanna was never anything more then honest. She didn't care to be salavated over, in her experience only a few boys were truly worth anything more then a smile and a nod.

He continued to look down at her, his eyes filled with joy. He loved spending time with her and was glad that they had met. "Thanks." He was glad to be seperated from the 'most boys' group. "So, chere," he said, using her word. "What would ya like ta do now?"

Her smile was quick at his use of her word. She knew he probably didnt' know what it meant but that was okay. It was just a term of enderment. It meant dear, so she didn't think anything of it.
"Well, what should we do now? I'm pretty much flat broke, I'm not very good at, umm, improving the truth, like I've heard it mentioned." Saying she didn't sell papers very well, she couldn't out right lie to people, though a bat of an eyelash and a smile sold them well enough. It always made her feel a bit dirty at the end of the day.

He grinned, it was true that he didn't know what the word meant, but he got the general idea quickly. "Well, selling papes isn't one of my favorite activities. And I have a bit of change if we need it. Where have you been since you've been in New York, maybe I can take you somewhere new." He paused. "If you want to of course."

She gave him a smile, this was fun. She hadn't had all that much fun lately. "Well, mostly the Bronx, nothing else to exciting, chere. Coming to Brooklyn was spur of the moment on my part. I didn't hear about how dangerous Brooklyn was until I got here. But I don't see all that much dangerous about it."
Alanna brushed her hair out of her face and gave him a grin. "Well, no more dangerous then New Orleans after Mardi Gras.."

He chuckled. "Yea, Brooklyn had the reputation of being dangerous, but most of it is behind the scenes kind of stuff." He started to think about where they could go. He noticed the grin she gave him and smiled back. She looked beyond perfection. "Well, we could go to Central Park. Have you been there yet?"

Alanna laughed, "Only with Moira, but it would be fun to see it threw someone else's point of view." She was a person who loved to see the world from different angles. She was sure she saw the sun in a different, light, so to speak then another person would. It was interesting to her to see how others saw the same world she did.

"Okay then, let's go." He headed for Central Park.

((New Day))
"Rivah Polluted Wit Toxic Waste!" Cards crowed, waving a paper over her head. About three people bought papers and Cards slipped down a dark alley before they realized the phony headline. Not that it was one of her best, but still. She didn't feel like running from any bulls right then. Having given the people the slip, she strolled along, occasionally selling a pape or two. She would have enough to eat at any rate.

Fame was walking down Lorimar street as well that day. She saw Cards, a newsie she'd seen around once or twice, but never talked to. She pretty much just knew that she was a newsie. She approached her, trying to hear what she was saying. "Youse dont got no good headlines neither, do ya?" She asked, doubtfully.

Fame shrugged. "Eh, dere aint many good headlines out dere today. Even I'se is havin some trouble sellin' today. Well, ya win some ya loose some, I guess. Today aint a winnin day." she glanced around. She was going to have to do something else soon, have to make a scene. "Where you from?" She asked.
((Sorry I took a long time to reply..))
