The smile on her face grew wider, more sure of herself. "Well, that's great to know." Her eyes widened a bit, more and more as he talked and her mouth dropped a little. "Really?" She breathed, "You could do that?" Her face lit up, eyes sparkling. "I'd love that..." She paused. "But you won't leave me up there on that horse without telling me how to get down, right?" She was only teasing, the corner of her mouth quirking up slightly as she did.

Jameson smiled, "Now, what makes you think I'd do that." He said with a chuckle, and a shake of his head. "Don't you worry, I'll take good care a you." He said with a reasurring smile. "Riding isn't that bad, you just gotta find your balance, and you can stay on during anything." He looked around the lodging house, catching the darkness in the windown, he then looked back to Jennifer. "Well, I think I'm stuck here." He said, looking at the little girl. "I'm not gonna leave until I know this is this little girl's home; and I don't think I'll ever find my place in the dark." His smile did all by fade as he looked at her, "But that wont be too bad, I guess."

"I don't doubt it. I have a cowboy teaching me, in any case." She smiled at him, but paused, face fallig a bit. "I didn't mean to keep you here. Oh, Im sorry." She slid from her seat, moving toward the window. Clutching at the blanket around her shoulder's, she looked back at him, eyes sad. "I could walk you back, if you'd like.. I mean..." She felt bad about talking his ear off and then stranding him here. "Im sorry." She said softly, shaking her head and moving back to in front of him and offering him a hand.
"The least I can do is get you comfortable then, right?" She offered him a small smile.

Buck shook his head, "Don't worry, there's nothing much at home anyways; and, knowing me, when you walk me home, I'd feel bad sending you back alone, I'd end up walking you home... and I'd just be stuck here again." He said, with a smile. It was true, they would just end up on a long walk that brought them back to where they came from. "It's not bad, as I said." He reach up and took her hand, "I'm good with a couch." He stood up, and held onto her hand. It's been a while since he was actually this close, literally, to a person; and he kinda liked it.

"But at least you'd have company going back, and so would I." Jennifer laughed, realizing how stupid that idea had been when he put it like that. She looked down at their joined hands, a slight blush across her face. He was only a little taller then her, and she smiled up at him. "A couch? Now why would I stick you on a couch when there's a perfectly good bunk for you upstairs?"
She gave his hand a little squeeze and led him toward the stairs. There was something different about this guy, and it wasn't just because he was from Texas, or was a gentleman. It was something altogether different, that she couldn't place.

"It's prob'ly a nice night, so it wouldn't have been a big waste." He said with a smile. "Why, thank you miss." He said, keeping his hand wrapped in her's. He loved her smile, and couldn't help but want to keep her smile resting on her face. Buck looked back to Innocence, "She gonna be fine on the couch?" He asked, not really sure what to do with kids.

Jennifer looked back over her shoulder, nodding. "Probably more then in the bunkroom. Its a bit quieter down here, easier to handle." She smiled and chuckled. "Besides, I'm glad you're stuck here tonight. Means we can talk some more." She was starting to really like that accent of his. She could close her eyes and see her dreams if she wasn't careful, and that was new to her. "And you can start telling me how I'm not going to fall off whatever horse you stick me on."

"Well, there are two choices." He said to her. "One, where, if you loose your balance you might fall; but I'll be right there to catch you." He said. "Then," He smiled, "there's the choice where I ride behind you, and hold you so you don't fall off." He squeezed her hand a little, and felt a little embarassed saying that. "And yes, I'm glad I'm stuck here too."

Jennifer's smile grew a little wider. "I like the second one." She murmured, before turning her face away, the blush darkening. She looked pretty when she blushed, because she didn't turn red, but more of a rose color, but she squeezed his hand back a bit, that smile still on her face.

Buck smiled, and used his hand to turn her head back towards him, "Don't hide your face." He said after catching a glips of her rosy face. "It looks nice, and I think your face is so much nicer than the back of your head." He smiled as he spoke, his eyes still holding their tense, narrow look; yet, there was still a softness about them.

That only made her blush more, and she laughed, smiling. "Thanks...I would hope it is." She looked up into his eyes, her own glittering. A door slammed from somewhere and she half jumped, clearing her throat a bit. "...ahah." Get a grip, girl...you just met him.. But he was still holding her hand, which she had clutched to in her surprise.

Buck almost laughed when she jumped, he held her, making sure she didn't fall or something. "You gonna be ok?" He asked. She didn't seem the jumpy type; but maybe it was just because it was late at night. He felt her gripping his hand, but didn't comment on that. He looked back to her, "How 'bout you show me where to sleep, and we continue our conversaton in the morning." He said, not trying to be rude. He felt that he was coming on a little strong, and wanted to calm down a bit before things got to crazy.

"Yeah...sorry." Jennifer smiled a bit sheepishly. The only reason she had jumped was because she had been a little preoccupied. Stupid. She grinned at him and led him into the bunkroom, finally taking her hand back so she could get the bed ready for him, her hair falling over her shoulder. Brushing it back absently, she set the bed for him and stepped back. "I hope you'll sleep well up here."

Innocence had been watching the two. She hadn't said anything. She didn't feel like it. She got up and went to Prince's room there was a corner in her room calling her name. She took the blanket off of her and ran up the stairs with Beary.

Buck watch as she set up the bed for him. He didn't say much, feeling a little tired. He smiled as he saw Innocence run up the stairs and into Prince's room. He figured that meant he was in the right place. "Thank you, anything really, would work." He said, not wanting her to have to go out of her way to do so much for him. He set his had down beside the bed, and pulled off his boots. He started to unbutton his shirt, as he walked to sit on the bed. He pulled up the sheets, and took his shirt of; laying it on the floor. Sitting on the bed, he pulled the covers up, "Well, 'night." He leaned back and laid down, ready to sleep.
