Sweets just shrugged with her mouth full, enjoying the sandwich.

((NEW DAY))
Golly walked into the cafe and let out a deep sigh. He was in casual wear lacking anything that would link him to being a cop for the day. It was his first day off in weeks. He found an empty table and took a seat, removed his cap as any gentleman would and set his satchel on the seat beside him. When the waitress came by he ordered a scotch then removed a note book from his bag along with a pen and started to scratch at a blank page wildly. He wanted to black out all his thoughts of work- everything from citations to arrests, Snyder to the mayor. It all was so depressing.

Racetrack stepped into the small cafe. Finding an open table he collapsed into a chair with a dark look on his face. Ordering a water, and sending a small glare of jealousy at the scotch the other man was drinking, he rested his elbows on the table and placed his head in his hands.

Golly's concentration was broken by the arrival of a boy one table over. He did not move his head but let his eyes wonder to take a curious glance. Obviously the young boy was in a foul mood, slouching and scowling all at once. Golly sipped down the rest of his drink and banged the glass down so it rang out signaling for a refill. His eyes returned to his work as he piped up. "Seems like ya need somethin' bit stronger then that water, boy..." He continued to drag the pen along the paper, not really expecting a response from his sour neighbor.

Race turned his head slowly, looking out from under the brim of his hat and glaring at the man. "Yea? Well unless ya gonna help me out in dat particular area, why don't ya mind ya own business huh?" He returned his gaze to his glass of water, smugly thinking he had shut the other man up.

Golly closed his book and gazed back at Race, a small smirk on his face. His attitude amused him to an extent, so snippy. He tapped his glass on the table again despite being full and flashed to digits to the waitress. When the drinks arive he pointed at one of the glasses then to Race, shooting a smug look as if the whole ordeal was a dare. "Scotlands best" he said proudly, "Scots always helpin' out the delinquency of youth" Cop or not, he was a teen once and drank like a fish, plus no harm in brightening up this kids obviously miserable day. He down one of the scotches so two remained

Race snorted a small laugh, as if waiting for the guy to stop his charade. When he did no such thing, he straightened up in his chair and turned to face him, removing his right arm from the table and placing it on the back of his chair. "You aint kiddin'?" he asked in a suspicious tone, eyeing the man skeptically.

Golly shook his head and let out a deep laugh. This, sadly, was the most fun he had had in a long while. “Scots don’t joke ‘bout whiskey, boy!” He pushed one glass towards the other side of the table as an invitation for Race to join him. He was grinning now, just picturing Snyder’s face. “Common drink up. Ya jus’ made my day so let me make yours..”

Cheater slipped into the Cafe and sat down, drumming her fingers on the table. She was waiting for someone, she didn't know who, but she had a feeling that she was supposed to meet someone.
When the waitress came up, she asked for just a water, looking two tables over where two people were talking, a grown man and someone who she knew was Racetrack.
Go talk to them...
But they're talking to each other!
So?
It's rude to inturrupt.
It would be boring just to sit here.
Make me go over there and I'll murder ya.
You can't kill me, I'm part of you.
Yeah, and?
JUST GO.
It was like the part of her mind she had been arguing with pushed her, and she soon found herself at Racetrack's table, looking thoroughly embarrassed.
"Damn..." she hissed, slapping her forehead. "Leave it to my mind to push me over here..."

((Is cheater schizophrenic?))
Race briefly glanced at the girl, but grinning turned quickly back to the man, getting up and joining him at the table. "Gee, thanks," he said as he grabbed the drink, downing it as fast as he could. "Why so generous?" he asked, after he drank it all of course. He didn't often receive things without paying unless he was sprinting down the sidewalk with a cop at his heels.

((I have no idea... xD She could be, but that just remindes me of the movie Me, Myself and Irene... and I can't imagine her being like that.))
She raised her eyebrows and looked from Golly, to Racetrack. Back and forth and back and forth a--
"Is he your older brother?" Cheater questioned, her head tilted sideways as she stared at Golly, having not seen him before now.

Golly raised an eyebrow at Cheater then let out a quick laugh. Grinning he responded, "No lass. I actually dont know who he is..." He stuck his hand out to Race, "Golly." He choose not to supply his last name, as he only used that when in uniform. Plus if he'd prolly scare the kids away and he was throughly enjoying this. After Race his hand went out to the girl.
"Generous?" He asked Racetrack and shrugged, "Yer little attitude was entertainin', jus' figured I got a lot ta spare and you obviously didn't jus' havin' a water. Occasionally it feels nice to be nice" He really had no idea, but it was the best mood he'd had for a while. "Want another? Or you, lass?" He questioned the kids as he scooted his empty cup around the table.
