She grinned and giggled silently for a moment. "Great!" She walked over to Lukas. "Nice to meet you." She shook his hand then sat down in a chair that was almost right in the middle of the two guys. "So, why are you two here just sitting around?" She asked.

Flick watched Lukas, cocky kid. He wasn't going to denie what Lukas said, because Flick knew that Ace would have said the girl could stay, but Lukas didn't own the place. Flick would have to watch Lukas, but he wouldn't make it obvious, he still didn't like the kid. That was probably on misconception, but first impressions die hard. "Nothin' ta do of course, except sit around. So were did ya come from?" He smiled at her.

She smiled and turned her attention back to Flick. "Well, here actually, Bronx. I was raised here and since my folks died I've just kinda wandered, until I finally decided I wanted to stick around the Bronx for good." She was okay about talking about her parents, the pain had left her a long time ago, not saying that she didn't miss them, but she enjoyed talking about them.

Flick didn't know how to react to her mentioning her parents. He didn't want to say sorry, because that wasn't right so he ignored the comment about her parents. His eyes softened though. "Once Bronx always Bronx."

She smiled, eyes sparkling. Completely happy. "Yep!! So, how long have you been here?"

Lukas had become completely preoccupied with his hat when Fox began to reminisce about her past - not because he meant to but because he was Lukas. He twirled his hat on his index finger and when it fell to the ground he looked up "Hmmm?" He caught Fox's last question to Flick and decided to barge in again, "Well. I have been in New York me whole life. Grew up in a flat with three German families includin' me own. Deutscher ist meine erste Sprache." He added the German just to try and show off.

Flick looked up at Lukas as he began to talk and listened. If he wanted to consider himself leader he could but that didn't mean Flick had to listen to him, at least until Ace said other wise. "I've lived in New York most of my life, just a time when I wondered down ta Pennsylvania, but den I came back. And here I am."

She turned to look at Lukas as he began to talk. She couldn't help but grin. He was so obvious about showing off. She listened to both of their answers. "Well, How long have you been in Bronx?" She asked, not knowing why she was so curious.

She just smiled, then followed his gaze out the window. Indeed, it did look like rain. Fox loved the rain. "I hope it does." She commented.

Flick smiled at Fox, "Rain always brings somethin' new, doesn't it?" Turning his attention to Lukas, "Do ya know where Ace is?" He was worried about there leader and he didn't like not knowing what exactly was going on, made him feel blind.

Fox returned the smile and nodded. "Yea, it does." She said then turned her attention back to the window. When Flick asked about Ace, she couldn't help but look back at him. She liked the sound of his voice, even if was worried, there was just something about it.

Flick waited for Lukas to answer him, but he continued to ignore him. He thought about throwing his hat at him, but didn't want it to suddenly be thrown some where he didn't want it. Looking back at Fox he said, "Ace is da leadeh. Don't know exactly what happened to him, except dat he is helpin' us newsies dats foh sure."

Fox nodded. "Oh okay. Well, in that case, I sure hope he shows up soon."

Flick shrugged, "Our leadeh is always tryin' ta protect us, but usually doesn't ask us ta help. So we are left in the dark except what we can find out on our own. But he's a good leadeh, de best we could ask foh."
