Peem looked at Davey. "...Blaize is lying, D. Wrong card."
Davey's whole face fell, tears welling up in his eyes. "..I..Im wrong sometimes...but..I can't get better if you lie..."

Blaize rolled his eyes at Peem, slipping off the couch, so he was on his knees by the table."Im sorry, i wasn't thinking." In truth, he hadn't been. He just didn't want to get the kid upset. "Here...i'll let you practice on me as long as you want to, ok? And maybe you could teach me?"

Davey wiped his tears and brightend immediately. He was more lighthearted than his brother. "Otay Mr. B!" He tackled Blaize, landing on his chest. "Yous gottsa deal!"

"oof." Blaize looked up at the kid, a grin drifting across his face. "All right then." He held his hand out, "Shake on it?"

Davey spit in his hand, but missed and accidentally spit on Blaize's chest "ooops!" And still shook Blaize's hand. "Gots it!"
Peem smirked. "Cocca is ready!"
Davey jumped up. "CHOCLATE!! YAAY P!" He hugged his brother and took his mug, drinking it happily.

Blaize shook his head as he got up, not minding the spit as he wiped it off. He liked kids....wanted to maybe have one of his own someday. When he was ready, and with someone he loved.
He grinned over at Peem, "do i get a cup, P?"

Peem smirked and handed Blaize a cup. "Yep!" He smiled and sipped on his own.
Davey ran off to his room with his cocca to go look at the stars out of the window.
"...he is my little hellion."

Blaize held the cup and took a sip, sighing happily. "It must be nice." He said lightly, "Having a little brother." Or a family at all, for that matter, he reminded himself firmly.

Peem pouted. "...you saying we aren't your brothers?" He raised an eyebrow. "Me mum would hit you with a spatula for saying that."

He laughed, "naw....You two count...But i always wanted a real brother, you know? Someone like Davey, whom i could be a 'big brother' to."

Peem shrugged. "Then marry a girl who has a little brother." He patted Blaize's back. "No point in wishing for something you can't ever really have." He took a sip of his cocca. He didn't mean that in a mean way, but it was a fact.

Blaize grinned a bit as he sipped at his drink. "I know, and besides, i have you two, right? So i guess its not really a big deal. You guys are probably the best i could ever have gotten anyway." He smiled, chuckling a bit.

Peem smiled. "I dunna know about me, but Davey is definitely the best ya could get." Suddenly the door opened, and Mrs. Hendry came in carrying a large bag of various food items. "Ach, Peem ya bairn...help me out." When Peem took a few things for her, she saw Blaize. "Ach..Blaize me boy!" She went over and gave him a huge hug. "Ya are in trouble fa stayin' away so long!"

Blaize smiled as he hugged her back tightly, "Im sorry, Mum, i got a little tied up. Wont happen again, i promise." He pulled back, "You look well, so i trust nothing bad happened while i was away." He was teasing, of course. This woman could always put a smile on his face.

She shook her head. "Just little Davey gettin' sick, but he's right as rain now." She smiled and patted the much taller boy on the head. Peem may have been short, but his mother was even shorter. "..but I be you were keepin' yourself out o' trouble?" It was a question, but if she didn't like the answer, it was also a threat. Mrs. Hendry expected her children to stay out of trouble, even the adopted ones.
