Itey slid off the dock moved out of the way, Blink was a good fighter, and Itey had seen him take Morris before. His papes were dropped behind him on an empty crate as he watched the fight, in case Blink needed a hand. He grinned when Sweets took a pot shot at the boy. It was dirty, but it was funny.

Falling mid-punch to the ground with a yell, Morris rolled, knocking Blink off his feet. Kicking out with a booted heel, he caught Blink in the stomach as he fell, sending him flying into Sweets. Grunting, he stood. "Better a Delancy dat cheats, then a pansy who needs a goil ta fight foah him." He snarled.

"What did you just say?" He snapped, making sure Sweets was all right. "I didn't need any goils help to pound you into the ground all the times before- so really, you're point is moot. I took both you and your brother- so whose the pansy?"

Firecracker snorted, unsure of whether she should join the fight. Sure, she was always willing to fight for someone, but the Manhattan newsies seemed to have a lot of pride. Which meant that Kid Blink might not appreaciate it if she tried to help. Well, they never said you couldn't trash talk somebody. Perhaps he would take a swing at her if she really pushed his buttons.
"Yer confusing yerself, Mista Grease," she stated boldly. "From whud I hear, dere's nuttin' worse den a Delancey, 'specially one dat cheats."

Itey made his way over to Sweets and helped the girl up and over to a crate for her to sit on, "Dat was a nice shot der, but are ya doin' alright?"

She laughed, glancing over Itey once to the fight. "Shore, I'm fine," she grinned at firecrackers comment.
"Are dey both this stupid?" she asked, referring to the delancy. She had never actually been involved in one of these fights, and sort of jumped the gun when she went after him.

Racetrack, who had been around the corner getting some bread, came upon the fight and grinned, setting his papes down on a crate. "Well what have we heah?"

David groaned, mentally cursing as he stood, walking calmly over to the scene. He might not be too good of a fighter, but with words, he usually could stop a fight. 'Usually' being the key word here. He leaned against a wall, cocking an eyebrow at the Delancey brother.
"Ah, Morris, I pity you, seriously, I do," he stated calmly, a taunting tone in his voice. "I mean, what low life had to ruin other people's lives because he doesn't have a life of his own? Oh wait, that would be you and your brother, wouldn't it?"

"What does it look like, Racey?" Blink looked at his friend, smirk on his face. "I was mindin my own business for once, and he came lookin for me!"
He looked over at David, snickering. "Dere ya go, Mouth. I knew there was a reason why we called you that."

At Racetrack's comment, Firecracker grinned, though her light emerald eyes never strayed from the Delancey brother. "Nuttin' pleasant, dat's for shoah."

Morris spun on Blink, his eyes flaming in anger. "Im going to make you pay, I promised you that, didn't I?" He flipped his hand and pulled a knife, advancing on the other, getting right up in his face, blade sparkling in the light. "How does two eyepatches sound?"

Race stood as fast as the knife came out of the pocket and stood beside the two of them, raising and eyebrow. "What's dis? Morris needs a weapon ta defeat a half blind boy? Come on, settle dis like men huh? Fists only. I got two bits Blink takes you." he taunted, praying it would work.

"But, you see, Race, he isn't a man. He needs the extra, cause, in all honestly, the half blind boy CAN take him." He glared at Morris, dropping his voice, "Aint dat right, Morris?"
He knew what Race was doing, and silently thanked him, but he already made up his mind. The next time a knife was pulled on a fight, he wasn't backing down.

"I agree with Blink, Race," Firecracker told the newsie, a mischievous grin appearing upon her features. "Morris 'ere ain't a man, he's a Delancey. Dey're 'bout a quarter as smart as an average man, and dat's only if dere lucky." she hoped that this would work, hoped that the Delancey boy had some kind of family pride deep inside him.
