With a flick of his wrist and a sickening thwunk, Morris sent the blade straight into Blink's shoulder, smirking. "Another for the ladies to admire, eh Blink?" He said, holding on to the boy's arm to keep him from falling.
Leaning closer to Blink, his expression changed. Voice barely above a soundless whisper, he hissed, "You best watch yaself, cyclops. We can kill you as well." Releasing Blink, Morris stepped back. Let his friends help him now.

Racetrack launched himself to Blink, trying to hold him up. "What's da mattah wit you!?" he shouted over his shoulder to the Delancy. "Ya coulda killed 'im!" he grabbed Blink's good arm and wrapped it over his shoulder.

"Im...fine." Blink muttered, trying to pull himself away from the other. He staggered and let out a shaky breath, his hand coming up to grab the hilt of the knife still in him. He pulled it out and let it fall to the ground. "Ruined my shirt." He breathed, head swimming.

Itey caught Race's eye and as soon as the knife hit the ground, he launched himself at Morris from behind. Cathing the ape off gaurd he managed to knock him to the ground.

Firecracker felt fury burn inside her, a fuse being lit with all her anger. It took all the self restraint she had not to fling herself at the boy and beat him senseless. While she might be small, it was amazing what anger could do to people. Instead, she sent a death glare at him and turned to the newsie. She had a mother as a nurse, and had often gone along with her mother when she was younger. Trying to summon all she knew, she examined the wound briefly, but knew not how deep it was.
"Somebody get some water and clean sheets, we need ta stop da bleedin' an' clean it out!" she called, hoping she could be a little helpful.

"We gotta get him back to da lodgin' house, I hoid we got a goil who knows about these kinda t'ings, aura I think's her name." He hoisted Blink's arm back over his shoulder roughgly, knowing he would protest.

"I dont....Let go, Race." Blink was so predicatable sometimes. "This fight aint ovah, and i aint done with him yet!" He jerked away, being taller has its benefits, and turned to find Morris who had just knocked Itey into a stack of crates. "I dont lay down and die for no shoulder wound."

This time, David stepped in. He walked defiantly in front of Blink, his light blue eyes glittering with determination. Jack was not here to break up the fight, and the other newsies seemed to have no idea how to. The Jacobs boy could only hope that the newsie would listen to him rather than shrugging him off like Racetrack.
"Well, we don't want you to lay down and die, so we're bringing you back to the lodging house to fix that wound. I don't give a dang about your pride, you're going back to the lodging house," he stated, his calmness gone. David could be intimidating if he wanted to. He turned back to the Delancey brother. "And you, get out of my sight before I let him go at you, you worthless excuse for a human."

Itey stood up and shook his head, that toss hurt but it'd at least distracted the ape. Cursing his own small size, Itey knew he had to stay low to use it to his advantage. Sliding in behind Morris, he made sure he was just close enough to jump in if something happened. Then David got up, and obviously had no idea what he was doing. Morris looked ready to laugh and the other newsies were wondering what to do with the kid who'd never been in a real fight. Hell, he went the whole strike without throwing more than a punch.

Morris chuckled, ignoring David's comment as he bent down to sweep up the bloody knife. "And you muttonheads call me stupid? You've had a knife atcher feet, and you didn't do nuthin'!?" He rolled his eyes, laughing.
Looking over the blade, he looked to Race out of the corner of his eye, then took aim and left fly. Watching the knife sail passed Race, he cursed his aim.

"Now, THAT was stupid!" Blink roared, lunging past David and slamming Morris against the wall. He made sure the knife missed before he snarled. "You do NOT attack my friends- DO YOU HEAR ME!" He slammed his head against the wall, before he saw the paper chute. "Hey, Race- betcha two bits i can make him fit."

Race froze as a knife shot into the wall behind him inches from his face. Pulling it out quickly he turned it toward the brute. "Stupid? We didn't take dis cause we aint stupid, which is more den I can say for you." he chuckled lightly, hearing blowing whistles coming nearer. "Wonder how long attempted moider goes for in da slammah these days." he leanded back against the wall, smirking and tossing the knife.
As Blink lashed out he tried to hold him back, not wanting the scene to appear worse than it was. "Kid, let it go alright!" The sound of whistles was getting nearer, just around the corner.

Blink paused, letting Morris fall from his hands. "Dont come near my friends again, Morris, or i'll kill you. I mean it." He backed up with Race, took the knife from his hands and threw it so it skidded at the bully's feet. "You dont want to be seen with the knife, Race." He murmurred softly. He was just about ready to go listen and lay down now. That last bit had tired him out and his face was white.

"C'mon Kid," Race said softly, trying his best to guide him down the steps.
